My mother-in-law loves this place. She brings the family here every time she comes to town from out-of-state. She raves about how the food is "authentic Mexican." Personally, I find the food to be mediocre. It doesn't hit the spot for me. The gravy on the enchiladas is different than any place I've been before and the enchiladas just don't... More

The food is tasty Tex-Mex, and it is consistently good. The menu has lots of variety without having to resort to any fusion food foolisness. The prices are good, and so are the margeritas. The place is a converted historic movie theatre. (Well, at least historic by Houston standards.) The restaurant is well run and the service can be as... More

Good but not great texmex food in a large and interesting settings. A good place to have a drink and not as noisy as you would think.

Get the flaming queso. It's absurdly good. The enchiladas are also amazing, the margaritas are well-made and our service was fantastic! Highly recommend.

Two crispy tacos, one with ground beef - too salty, and one with chicken. The Spanish rice was okay, nothing special. The refried beans were okay, nothing special.

I've lived in Texas for over ten years, and I've had my share of the good, bad and (coughing) ugly Tex-Mex. Was introduced to this gem by a good friend, and I'm impressed! Good house Margaritas, and their salsa was the tastiest I've ever had, with hints of smokey news that I truly enjoyed. Had a salad with shrimp, avocado... More

I've always wanted to try it, so I was excited when a friend asked me to meet her here. The service was good, the drinks were good, but the food was average. It's nothing bad, but not overly special. We had the botanas appetizer plate and I had cheese enchiladas. Like I said, nothing bad, but no wow either.

Two of us went here after an afternoon at the Museum of Fine Arts. Had seen the marquee on Westheimer several times, then my niece recommended it to us. Started with some pretty good salsa & chips, then some Queso Verde- white cheese with spinach. Very good, served with thicker corn tostadas that went well with the dense dip. One... More
