This is my second visit here and I have come to the conclusion that while I love the decor, the food is a total disappointment Today for afternoon tea I took the goats cheese and strawberry sandwiches and paid extra for a second sandwich which was cucumber and cilantro. The fillings were just ok, it was the bread which was... More

As an Australian living in the US I love to find homeland restaurants. On a recent visit to Houston this place came up. We went for dinner excited by the menu. We got starters and mains. For starters we ordered an onion and zucchini bahji which was nice, a salad which I'm still dreaming about and a sausage roll. It... More

I've been to QVP several times and end up getting different menu items each time along with a different beer each visit. Everything on the menu is delicious, the Scotish egg, deviled eggs, lamb curry, cold meat and cheese plate, amazing salads....everything is delicious. I can't wait to return!

My husband and I visited the Queen Vic on a Friday night. The place had a buzzy fun atmosphere and the staff, including the bartender, were extremely friendly. Sadly, the food was disappointing. All the naan was stiff and burnt. The shepherd's pie was more tomato based than in the U.K. The tikka masala was not tasty and sides, like... More

Small place, very eclectic decor. Trendy, yuppy type vibe. You have to valet park as parking is not available. Staff need to be more on the ball. It's not really a British feel but it's def a great place with amazing tasty food! I was very impressed and look forward to going again. Prices are on the high side but... More

When I want to annoy my kids, I speak in a very bad English accent. When I want good English food, I go to Queen Vic's - sans accent because well, that would just be downright embarrassing. Try a beer. If you are like my husband and somewhat of a snob when it comes to beer, you will like this... More

The seafood creole special was tasty, but the Tika Masala was definately on the bland side- didn't have a much of a kick at all, and the chicken had a texture I didn't really care for. Its also kind of silly to make basmati extra. The cheese stuffed Naan was the perfect comfort food tho. They have an interesting selection... More

First time finally visiting for lunch. I walked in to the bar and just loved it's quirkiness. We sat at the bar and ordered lunch. I took the chicken curry sandwich which I really didn't like, it was just far too salty. Too much salt in the salad and topped with the salt on the pretzel bun was way too... More

I finally tried this place for a Saturday lunch. I sat at the bar and tried a couple cocktails and items off the menu. It is a British style menu with a great menu including many curry options. I had a sausage roll which was very good with a flaky crust which reminded me of my mom's. I also had... More

My husband and I ordered the fish and chips. They were delicious! The fish and fries were fried to perfection. We were pleased with the service. The restaurant ambiance was nice. We will be back to try other menu items.
