This restaurant is always busy and there is a reason why. The dishes remind me of eating in Italy because the flavors are robust and true to their taste. Something as simple as spaghetti and meatballs taste so good at Paulie's. Their tomato sauce is lovely and the meatballs are tender. My favorite is the Rigatoni Bolognese with a ginger... More

My bosses have been raving about this restaurant for a very long time. I'm not sure why I couldn't ever find the time to get here but I made time today and I'm so glad I did! I had the Big Salad accompanied by steamed broccoli and a nice cup of freshly brewed hot tea. It was exactly what I... More

Make sure your wine waitress ASKS YOU and UNDERSTANDS which size gl of (already overpriced) wine you want! I thought I had a $10 glass, but got billed for $18 for the larger serving!!! Yikes. Waitress did not clarify and I had just assumed. Once I asked, she did not offer a remedy. The wine was just 'okay'.

Don't understand the hype. Food was simply not good. Bad. Atmosphere was good but food was below par.

The food at Paulie's is fantastic; we loved coming with our kids, ages 10-16. It's on Westheimer, so we expected it to be a little pricey, which it was, but it was worth it and we'd come again!

Paulie's is a popular neighborhood deli/restaurant that has been in the same location for many years. You order at the counter and are given a device that notifies you when your order is ready. On my most recent visit at 5:30 pm for an early dinner, the place was freezing, which made it very uncomfortable. The portions are fairly large... More

Paulie's is an institution in my opinion. Best homemade pastas and hand selected wine. Best value in town as all their dishes are large enough to share amongst 2-3 people. Favorites are Lasagna on Tuesdays, expresso everyday and the lamb chops. Check out their daily specials!

Driving in Montrose area looking for a new place to eat with my family. We saw diners eating outside and circled back - what a great decision! Pros - excellent food with great taste (I had the Italian sausage panini) huge portions (French fries and Mediterranean pasta salad sides were both very tasty), staff could not have been nicer, clean,... Atmosphere is comfortable and relaxing. Good place to go for good food and conversation. I had a salad, tomato soup, and pasta. All of it is very good.

Paulie's is one of my favorite hidden gems in the Montrose area. It's a quaint little Italian restaurant joint with great food! There Chicken Piccata is amazing and they always have the cutest iced cookies.
