Tony Mandola's is the kind of place you can keep going back to over and over and have a consistently good meal each time. Their seafood entrees are stellar. Great place for a special date night.

It has been a while since the move to the new location and while the food has remained very good the crouds have thined at this Houston favorite. I think the gumbo and salad combo at lunch is hard to beat. It is a restaurant you can take your time in and talk to those at your table, no having... More

This place is an institution - classy Italian fare in a comfortable environment. Can't fault it in any way, always excellent food and good service. The only hassle is the valet parking - I much prefer to park my car myself, but that is a minor issue. Tony is usually in attendance and he will happily attend to any requirements... More

Tony's is known as a place to celebrate and it has earned its status for good reason. The Villa-esque atmosphere is enhanced with white tableclothes and simply appointed tables. Both the dining room and the patio serve as a great backdrop for a special occasion The service was very good and they brought us Bellinis right away. More than adequate... More

Everything I ate at this restaurant was gross! I had the tower for appetizer. The sushi did not taste like sushi grade fish. The fish was not eatable. I had the the pecan fish dish that was drowned with pecans and sauces to hide the poor quality fish. I had to wave my hands in air to get my waiter.... More

If you go for happy hour, I suggest sitting at the bar. The staff is friendly and they don't skimp on the wine pours. Their oysters are great and have a small hh food menu as well. My girlfriends and I like to meet here before we get our nails done around the corner.

Business lunch with four associates. Fried oyster and salsa appetizer was perfect. Grilled snapper as good as any I've had anywhere on gulf coast. Service impeccable. Will return, and will try supper too. Loved it.

I have been here several times and never tried their Seafood gumbo. It was delicious! The service was good as usual! Hats off to Tony and his wife Phyllis for having consistently good food! Totally enjoyable!

We visited to celebrate a friends wedding. The food was amazing. The ceviche and calamari were very fresh and flavorful. The staff was very accommodating with our large party. Will definitely return.

I recently attended a private dinner event here and I found the private room to be extremely spacious and comfortable. For once there was plenty of space in between each person. I did not feel cramped at all and was able to fully enjoy my meal without being bumped into all evening long. From what I can tell, there was... More

In 1982, we opened Tony Mandolaʼs Blue Oyster Bar on the Gulf Freeway, which we owned and operated for 22 years. A second Tony Mandolaʼs Blue Oyster Bar debuted on Shepherd in 1984, which he closed four years later in order to open our famous West Gray Tony Mandolaʼs flagship location. Our lifelong dream of owning a freestanding restaurant has now become a reality with the opening of our new, permanent Tony Mandola's location at 1212 Waugh Drive. We take great pride in serving what we think is some of the best food on the Gulf Coast. Everything is homemade fresh in our kitchen daily and many of our dishes are our Mamas' recipes. God Bless our Mamas and God Bless you for your patronage.“Dedicated to the preservation of the art of Mamas' Cooking.” Sincerely,Tony & Phyllis Mandola
