Haven’t been there in a while. Dumb me! Best shrimp and grits ever! Service was outstanding as well. Only negative is lack of parking.

Backstreet cafe remains a favorite. Good valet parking, cozy interior and, weather permitting, outside seating. Service is prompt, friendly and attentive. The food is mostly excellent. Try the duck spring rolls: they are amazing. The flatbread was too large and bland. The oxtail was tasty...More

We had 10 people over the December holidays 2017. Wait Staff recommended the sampler appetizer plate. It was perfect and gave us a taste of several items and still room for dinner. I had the 3 hour roasted oxtail pave. Other diners had cioppino, braised...More

Great venue for Sunday Brunch. Some of the best shrimp and grits I’ve had. The poached eggs and chicken and biscuit and perfect. Service is great. Very busy, make reservations early. My wife loves this place and the food.

We visited Backstreet on a weeknight, for a lovely meal. One of our party needed a gluten-free meal, which proved to be no problem for the Backstreet kitchen. Our server was courteous and knowledgeable, the food very good. A very enjoyable experience for us all.
