We have eaten here in past visits to Houston and enjoyed eating here. The food tonight was again really great. Lots of meals and small plates to choose from. Every meal we have eaten had been very good.

Good food, French and Belgian style. We tried brunch menu: salmon toast is good, maybe too little (half bread toast slice), omelette was very good and tasty (we take the one with potato and sausages) and as dessert profiteroles are likely to be European style...More

Backstreet Cafe is a favorite of ours. The food and service always good and the atmosphere lovely, especially outside. It's a relaxing place to dress up or a little more casual. Not been for brunch yet but hear its very good too.

Haven’t been there in a while. Dumb me! Best shrimp and grits ever! Service was outstanding as well. Only negative is lack of parking.

Backstreet cafe remains a favorite. Good valet parking, cozy interior and, weather permitting, outside seating. Service is prompt, friendly and attentive. The food is mostly excellent. Try the duck spring rolls: they are amazing. The flatbread was too large and bland. The oxtail was tasty...More
