We ate here with a large group and the service was excellent. The food came out fast and very hot. The quantity of each plate is large and the quality is very good. We shared various dishes and dumplings. The crispy shrimp was the best but all of them were very good. The price was very low. My favorite is... More

I was so pleased to find steamed soup dumplings made fresh without MSG in Houston. Every other place I have tried add MSG. Aside from the dumplings, I have had quite a few dishes at this place. Each time we go, I like to try something new. The food is authentic Chinese and VERY delicious. The owner (Jason) is very... More

The place is a dump, but whatever. I like hole in the wall places. I used to go to this place a long time ago and it was fantastic. Went recently and the food was amazingly disgusting. I can't imagine anything grosser. The worst dumplings I have ever had in my entire life. I don't even know what I was... More

I have been going to Lai Lai's Dumpling House for years. The food is amazing. The dumplings are home and hand made and are HUGH. The fried rice is like no other. The portions are large and well priced. I loved when Mary was the owner. She was very friendly and always smiling. Now there is either a new owner... More

Don't go here for anything but dumplings and fried rice. The fried dumplings are good, very large and served hot. The fried rice is good. This is a more authentic restaurant, it is cheap and so is the environment. If you are looking for some upscale diner, it isn't. It is just another good place to get authentic dumplings.

Do not go here, this place is awful and dirty. It once had good reviews many years ago and that's why we went there. The food tasted horrible, we could not finish it and we were concerned. The floor is dirty, the chair cushions threadbare and the curtains torn. We had two types of dumplings and a broccoli and chicken... More

STAY AWAY FROM HERE. This is the most disgusting place I have ever been. My friend had pork lo mein. The pork was so tough and chewy I had to spit it out. The sauce on the noodles had the texture of slim with little or no taste. My orange chicken had very little taste and there was almost no... More

I have been going to Lai Lai since I was 6 and that is about 30yrs ago! It has always been hot, fresh and cheap and we were always greeted warmly by the owners..but since 2-5 yrs ago we have noticed the owners not there and prices have climbed up some which is understandable if the food is still good..but... The first time I went to Lai Lai Dumpling House was over 20 years ago, as one of many college students who flocked to Lai Lai for inexpensive Chinese food. My favorite items at Lai Lai are the green onion pancakes and the hot and sour soup, which if the larger size is ordered comes in a bowl that's really... More
