This used to be an amazing restaurant in the early 1990s. Excellent food, service, and ambiance. None of this is found today. Avoid this place and find other area Chinese food places where the owners care.

We loved this place when it was under the original ownership years ago, but now it's lousy food and bad service... And the fish tank in the entry is 1/4 full of stagnant water. My General Tso's chicken was made from big chunks of very dry white meat and heavily breaded and overcooked. Why Chinese restaurants use white meat for... More

We love the dumplings here but wish we had ordered the pan fried instead of steamed. Steamed were doughy. No fountain drinks available. You get a can of soda with no refills. Not sure if we will return.

So this is a real Chinese restaurant and recommended by my Chinese friends. We went for lunch and enjoyed some excellent dishes which we ate family style. No knives and forks and plates please. The house speciality stewed belly pork is my favourite. This is on the whole not American Chinese food, although they do have that available for the... More

For Chinese delivery, (or eat-in), this place is really surprisingly delicious. It's our go-to, take-out place for Chinese! The soups are great...the appetizers are delicious and the food is very tasty. I like the curry shrimp...and they cook it to my order..."very spicy". They always do it up right...and to order. If you like spicy, tell them!

Dumpling were abnormally large and thick; didn't taste anything like the traditional dumplings. Hot and sour soup was not hot nor sour. Scallion pancake was not crispy and was a bit over cooked. Singapore noodles were edible.

Some of the most authentic Chinese food in west Houston. Homemade dumplings, classically prepared dishes, and friendly service will be found here.

I hail from San Francisco and have tasted many styles of Chinese food--good and bad. We were allowed to order lunch specials that the menu said were only for Monday-Friday; we wanted a quicker meal because of a movie date. Our poor waitress was overworked immensely as more than 10 tables were filled and she was the only one taking... More

We have wanted to try this restaurant since it had changed management. The old Ta Hau was desperately in need of a decor update, but the food was good. The Vietnamese fried egg rolls alone were worth the visit. Now the new owners have updated the decor, but the food and service have gone down the tubes. Most everything we... More

It was my birthday, I was off for Columbus Day and wanted to try some place I hadn't gone to before for lunch. I wanted Chinese food and remembered passing this place and saying I will try it one day. We were greeted by Ping, I assume the owner, with a smile. Our waiter (wish I could remember his name)...
