Whenever you're hungry and want to eat cheap this place serves large portions at low prices. I really enjoy their sandwiches but one friend at our table ordered chicken strips and they looked delicious. I wish our waitress had been more attentive. We had dirty dishes left in front of us the whole time.

Overall, the food was decent. We all had breakfast and it was the typical breakfast food. The pies were pretty good.... We ordered the pecan pie, key lime pie, strawberry pie and the goo pie ( we are greedy and there was a 25 minute wait for breakfast :-)) We really enjoyed the pecan pie!

Though not fancy, House of Pies has a vast menu of traditional American food, always fresh cooked and dished out in large portions. Well priced and with friendly service, there are pies a plenty here and all of them wonderful but there is also 24/7 breakfast cooked to order and quite good. Very reminiscent of a classic diner, somewhat 50's-60's... More

Great place. Chicken fried steak was great, with mashed potatoes. And of course the Pie, wow, try the Bavarian chocolate cream unbelievable. Service was excellent. Will be back.

Title says it. I had a sweet tooth on an overnight trip to Houston so I decided to try the signature pie. It was so delicious that I went back in the morning and bought a whole pie to take back to Corpus Christi with me lol...can't wait to try some other selections!

The Good - excellent food quality for breakfast. The omelette with home fries and carrot muffin was top notch The bad - nothing bad about this place The Ugly - nothing. Stop by and enjoy a great breakfast at a reasonable price

Had one of the best pancake breakfasts here as well as fantastic pies that I would drive across town for! Skip Happy Hour!! Stop in toward the end of your busy day and come here for a cup of coffee and a slice of pie. Varieties for every taste. I can recommend the Lemon Icebox ( akin to Key Lime... More

A great old fashion diner, with pies, amazing pies. Pies are somewhat of a dessert lost in time. HoP keep the tradition alive. Every time we're in Houston we must stop here at least once. Oh yeah, don't go to house if pies and order cake, it's not called house of Cake.

Food was pretty good. Service was a bit slow but the waitresses were good. Nice selection of breakfast items.
