I was on my way to the Kerr Wildlife Area up the road and decided to stop at the Hunt Store to get something to eat. The food was average and the fries I got were cold. The BLT I ordered did not have any mayo on it and was not very good. The store has a lot of different... More

The family went for burgers on a Saturday afternoon. It was pretty crowded and the food took a while but the wait was not bad. Plenty of roaming area for the kids and cold beverages for the adults. TV's for watching whatever game is on too! Food was good...we all left happy. Want to try them out for dinner sometime...menu... More

You would not guess the quality of food that you get here. The Diablo sandwich was awesome, very nice and relax atmosphere. Chef very personal and attentive.

Thursday is prime rib dinner night, a four course meal at $35. Given the high ratings I anticipated a stellar meal. We were quickly seated and served water. Our pretty waitress-at my request-brought a sample of the two soups being offered. I chose the cream of mushroom. The lobster bisque was good but too salty, an opinion shared by a... More

We live in Hunt and there aren't many options for us to eat... like 2, but we couldn't be happier. The menu has a great selection and if you don't see it on the menu, ask the chef if he can prepare something off the menu. Chef Blaas is super talented! The Hunt Store has a wonderful casual environment not... More

We had a Sunday breakfast here. You can choose (by where you sit) self serve or finer dining. The place is located in an old fashion general store complete with a bank branch inside. Everyone was friendly and the food was quite good.

Good food and interesting atmosphere. Eat indoors or outside, weather permitting. Beautiful drive along the Guadalupe River. Tourist area for sure.

Second visit to the Hunt Cafe within the last week. 1st visit was burgers and fries. They were delicious, fresh veggies, thick patty and cooked to perfection. Great flavor! Their fries are really good also. They dip them into something before frying. So good! 2nd visit was the lunch specials. Huge chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes with gravy, sauteed veggies... Its the first time the Store has had really good quality food. My family has been going to that store for 80 years and the food has never been better. The Bone In pork chops are to die for and the grilled Salmon is perfectly cooked, every time we go! Plus the store is well managed and has a 5... More
