The Flying Dutchman is our go to, favorite restaurant in Kemah. Some may shy away as it's part of the Landry's Group/Chain but if they do they're missing out. The food is always consistent and always very good. Most tables have a great view of...More

Service staff at lunch on Friday was not well trained, but both food and drinks were truly subpar. The specialty bar drinks were overly sweet, and we could not detect the alcohol. My shrimp salad was so mediocre that it wasn't worth eating. No bread...More

The wait staff was fine, the food was the issue. I had the Crab Cakes and Crawfish Etoufe. There was a lot of crab in the crab cakes which was nice. My wife had Butterflied Shrimp with french fries. The problem was that the food...More

This is one of the best local seafood restaurants in the Kemah area. Great location on the Kemah Boardwalk overlooking Galveston Bay and the Seabrook & Kemah Channel. The food is excellent, service outstanding and the overall value is excellent.

This is located in the Kemah Boardwalk area. We had several appetizers and drinks, including the seafood stuffed jalapeno (they are large enough to cut in half). We ordered a rum and Baileys drink that was out of this world. We also ordered a non-alcholic...More

Flying Dutchman is one of the old remaining restaurants left on the Kemah waterfront. Although is has been bought out by the developer (TF), its name and reputation continues. Great views of boats heading in and out of Galveston Bay. The others have been taken...More

I will start off by saying that the service here was fabulous! The only problem was that we came here for oysters and they weren't great! The best oysters were those we had recommended that weren't actually on the menu but the other 2 serves...More

This was our first trip out to the boardwalk, and I suppose this review is more re: the boardwalk than the food... The restaurant itself was fine. Our entrees were all good (tuna and redfish). The interior of the restaurant looked nice, but we wanted...More

We went a little early to beat the Friday night crowd and had our choice of outside seating. We started with the Dutchman Sample which is an appetizer plate with stuffed jalapenos, shrimp kisses and crab crostinis. You have your choice on the stuffed jalapenos...More

While it's true that most of what Landry's-owned restaurants serve is previously frozen fish from Sysco, there are a few things I really love here. The Cobb Salad with Crabmeat and Shrimp is very good, as are the baked and fried oysters. Enjoying these favorites...More

The happy hour is M-F, 3pm to 7pm. Most of the drinks drop to half-price, so it's a great deal. Plus where else can you enjoy such a relaxing view of the Kemah channel\Galveston Bay while having some great oysters and a... More
