We had heard about Brigitts’s but never tried it before tonight. What a treat. The food was wonderful and Mike and Birgitta are such great people! I strongly suggest you give them a try. We drove from Tyler and were not disappointed

We stopped by on our way to Jackson, this place is a gem, family friendly with books and toys for the little ones. They have a small menu, we tried the salmon strudel, stuffed cabbage and beef paprika and everything was great. Great attention from...the owners.More

After hearing good things about Brigitta's, we decided to give it a try. Great decision! Everything on the menu board looked good, so we decided to order three different meals to sample and share. The owners were great, explaining that the brats would take a...little more time since they were fresh and had to be thoroughly cooked. I must add that the restaurant is spotless. We took our order to go, and it was still piping hot when we got back to our home in Longview. The meals are generous. All of ours were set on top of the best mashed potatoes I've had in a long time. Bread was wonderful. We are already planning our next visit to Brigitta's.More

John, so glad you enjoyed all our meals! Great food and customer service is our priority! We try to offer meals that are not widely available here in East Texas, and although we have a “ solid fan base” (lol), we still have people around...More

Thank you for your kind words, and so glad you enjoyed our place! In today's world, home cooked meals are scarce. We all remember our parents', grandparents' dedications to provide us a great home cooked meal. It took a lot of time and effort! Here...More

This was our first time visiting this restaurant . We both had the chicken schnitzel , and the flavor was on point . Mashed potatoes were done in house and were also good . My only objection is that everything was served on paper plates...with plastic utensils . Maybe it's for sanitation reasons , being a start up business .More

Stopped here for dinner after seeing it was well rated by trip advisor but we were disappointed in our visit. The people that own and operate the restaurant seem very nice but we did not like the food. $12 for a small bowl of lasagna...with nothing else not even a salad is to expensive. It contained only cabbage, meat and cheese with limited amounts of the latter. I wish them well but we will not support them. Had to pay for water also.More

Maybe the Lasagna is not up in your alley! We do have followers on it, and people responded well, when we first introduced it. We like to innovate and we only keep items on the menu that are well received. Our meals don't come from...More

This was our 3rd visit to Brigittas and they have improved. Our 1st visit was a mixed experience with some items being unavailable and long wait for our food, but the food was very good. This visit was an improvement inthat all the dishes we...ordered were avaiable and served in an acceptable time, not too quickly nor to slow. Three of the four of us ordered schnitzel, two pork and a chicken, served with homemade mashed potatoes and a tasty gravy. The fourth ordered a noodleless lasagna, which was a combination of meat, cheese, and cabbage in place of pasta...also delicious. We did bring our own beverages of Greman beer and wine, although our designated driver could have used traditional drink selections that most, if not all, other eateries have (tea, sodas, etc.) With some tweaking this could be one of the best restaurants in Kilgore. The food is there, now be a bit more prepared for the customer load (don't run out of mushed potatoes), ditch the bottled tea and upgrade from plastic cutlery...then you're just about there.More

I have tried the Lasagna which is made with cabbage instead of pasta. It is the best Lasagna I have ever eaten! The Cabbage rolls are delicious too with the homemade mashed potatoes! Make sure to leave room for one of their pastries! It is...a Mom and Pop restaurant that makes the food fresh, no freezer food here!More
