We went for breakfast on Sunday at noon. Grand Central Cafe was extremely busy and there was a long wait. I would suggest planning ahead and going to breakfast closer to when Grand Central Cafe opens at 8:00 AM. The staff is courteous, friendly, knowledgeable...More

We had breakfast on Saturday while staying at The Antlers. The building is the Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie house which was moved to the property and converted to the restaurant and bar. Breakfast was reasonably priced. My omelette was delicious and huge! Hubs and I...More

My son wanted to come here on our recent visit to Texas. We drove out here from San Antonio (absolutely beautiful drive). This is the house from the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. My son was happy to get a picture in front of the house...More

It is hard to get good food out in the boonies. Sometimes Grand Central is grand sometimes it ain’t. Order the simple dishes. Steer away from seafood. Be prepared to wait. Then wait some more. Service is snail slow. Th nicest restaurant in the area....More

I ordered the bacon omelette. It was fabulous! It came with a mountain of yummy applewood bacon (I almost couldn’t eat all the bacon, which is saying a lot)! Service was also most hospitable! Definitely the best breakfast in these parts!

We were staying in Granite Shoals for the winter and feeling kind of sad about the lack of fine dining in the area. Marble Falls has only one really good restaurant, but it has a rather limited menu. We didn’t expect much from Kingsland, but...More

Hard to imagine that the GCS can be rated anything other than "5". Not just because it's in Kingsland. This restaurant would hold it's own anywhere. Kind'a fun to watch other dinners enjoying their meals. Hopefully they will add a nice pork chops to their...More

This restaurant is housed in a turn of the century railroad station that was originally located in Round Rock, Texas. They filmed the 1973 movie Chain Saw Massacre in the original building. They dismantled the house in 7 pieces, restored it, and brought it to...More

We do offer complimentary WiFi, and from time to time have guests sit at our tables while working. You can choose from one of our dining rooms or the bar; however, we can't guarantee the noise levels would be conducive to... More
