We were in Llano Tx this past weekend for Llano Earth Art Festival and eat breakfast the first time at the Hungry Hunter and ordered off the menu and it was okay then the next day we decided to eat breakfast there again and found they had a breakfast buffet with your eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, fruit, catfish, okra.... We were on a weekend trip to Austin when we stopped to eat. The place was not very busy. When we were seated we walked by the catfish buffet. They were putting out fresh food. It all looked good. We reviewed the menu then decided on the buffet. In addition to the catfish they had pot roast, chicken enchiladas and... More

Had breakfast here and it was so good we went back the next morning. Super friendly and efficient waitress and the food was great. Coffee just kept coming which was appreciated.

We stopped here for breakfast and were disappointed with the entire experience. It took 45 minutes to receive our order and the pancakes were very crusty and cool. Eggs and bacon were OK but not great. We did not send anything back since we were on a long day trip. We would not return.

Hungry Hunter is a staple restaurant for our family when we stop in Llano. We often eat breakfast here with our grandparents. This morning I had a breakfast taco, in the past I have had pancakes or biscuits and gravy. On the weekends they had a large breakfast buffet that includes eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, biscuits and gravy as... More

This is a good cafe. Tasty food, great price. Good small town diner and vibe. Breakfast served all day. Looked like a great lunch buffet, but we wanted breakfast. Great cream gravy.

They serve the usual choices for breakfast, and ours were cooked according to our requests. Eggs, pancakes, grits or potatoes. Tasty .

My son and I were expecting the usual fare for a breakfast buffet. But, surprisingly, they offered made to order pancakes, fruit and berries, yogurt, three different breakfast casseroles, plus, the usual items. I was very surprised and well fed. We would (and will) go again!

Living in greater Austin, we get so, so, so tired of Tex-Mex everywhere. There are few decent inexpensive American-fare diners left around here. So when we travel in our beloved Texas Hill Country, we enjoy going to classic old small-town cafes. We eat at the Hungry Hunter (cowboys on one side, truckers on the other, and bikers "anywhere they want")... More

My family stopped here for breakfast on our way through to a camping trip. The only positive thing I can say is that it was open and I found a place to park. Everyone had breakfast and no one really felt remotely well-fed afterward. The scrambled eggs were little, pale yellow rolls of greasy sadness and the hashbrowns were cold... More
