At 1st I was hesitant to try this restaurant again ( have not been down there since moving to Lubbock in 2007). We did show up about 1 o'clock for lunch there was a 10 minute wait but as soon as we sat down the service was excellent and the food was amazing and the manager is doing an excellent... More

Went there to get a steak. The service was terrible, the steak was not cooked right and overall just bad. My wife and I went there and will never go back. It seemed more like a Denny's restaurant rather than a steak house. Find another place to go.

I had the 10oz Ribeye. It was cooked as ordered but was what I would consider an average steak. At $21.75 I expect a better piece of meat!! The baked potato was undercooked as well. Salad bar was very good and service was exceptional.

I'm sad to report a ho hom experience due to food quality. Rating is a 3 due to excellent service! And, quiet cozy atmosphere. Cattle Baron, you need step it up!!! Take a chance and offer real olive oil with your oil and vinegar dressing! Use real butter and not margarine with your potatoes! Use sea salt and not plain... More

This place charges as though it was delivering top quality food when in reality I'd rather eat at my grandparents old folks home. What a waste of an expensive night out! Blah... Go to Furrs or Golden Coral cafeteria and you'll get the same quality but for a better price.

My wife and I went to this restaurant for a late lunch , after a movie. The receptionist was barely cordial . The food was ok, actually it should be called Baron Cantina...the stew at the salad bad was so spicy , I could hardly eat it. Suggestion , convert a Mexican place' !!!!

We first ate at a Cattle Baron in Las Cruces and in Ruidoso nearly 25 years ago and continued to eat there numerous times since. We were pleased to see the location in Lubbock and to give it a try. While our service was very good, the food was disappointing as compared to our previous experiences and from what we... More

My husband and I stopped in to Cattle Baron. Salad Bar very nice as it has a good selection of items. They also had Vegetable Soup (which was too spicy for me) and chili on the Salad Bar along with quite a few desserts. One of our dinners was not to our liking and management came over to the table... Stopped for a late lunch. The service was outstanding. The salad bar was good but no beets. The crab cakes were bland but the sautéed squash and housebake bread was delicious.
