My son and I shared the half rack of ribs and a pulled pork sandwich. They were excellent. Also the cole slaw and beans were great, but the banana pudding was to die for! The service was great and they offered samples while we waited for our food. Rudy's was recommended by many people we asked about where to eat.... More

Had guests from Brazil and decided to get them some TX BBQ. Rudy's was the right place! We ordered take-out and it was ready when we needed it. Good service. Guests said the brisket was out of this world! Loved the sauce. One guest even loved the hot sauce! Good sausage and ribs also and pulled pork. I really liked... More

We went to two Rudy’s locations and had the same good experience. Here I’m reviewing the one in Lubbock. It’s a franchise that can be found all around Texas, the specialty is meat, which is served by the half-pound. You order meat at the cashier, while cold sides and desserts are available in a fridge beside the ordering line (fast-food... More

Saw reviews for Rudy's and weren't sure if we made the right choice. Went in and so glad we did. Long line moved quickly and then you get to order your BBQ by weight. Lovely girl took the time to explain the various brisket and let us sample the tastes. Sat at a picnic table and enjoyed. Would definitely return... More

This was my first time here. I called ahead with a large order for work, and it was ready when I arrived. The bags were labeled well so we'd know which were brisket, beans, etc. The spicy bbq sauce was pretty good. I'd definitely go back for lunch and dinner.

Servers ALWAYS ask if you have eaten with them before. If you have not, then they will offer you samples of the meats on the menu. This is a very basic, down to earth place, frequented by hurried lunch diners, peace officers, etc. Iced tea is good, menu is limited so service is fast and extras such as onion, dill... More

We go regularly to Rudy's. We love their Smoked Turkey, pork ribs and brisket. Normally not a coleslaw fan, however Rudy's slaw is very light and tasty.

I know many people have their preferences on BBQ, as do I. At first I wasn't impressed with going to a chain restaurant for this type of food, but they are so consistent and have really good brisket! The service tops it all... I usually just call in a few pounds of food and it is ready when I get... More

The BBQ sauces make this beef, pork, and chicken have that special taste. Not a bad price for BBQ. Overall, a good place to bring your family.

Just north of San Antonio, at the edge of the Texas Hill Country, sits the small community of Leon Springs. Founded in the 1800s by Max Aue, Leon Spring's cityscape changed when Max's son, Rudolph, opened a one-stop gas station, garage, and grocery store. Bar-B-Q was added to the operation in 1989, and Rudy's "Country Store" and Bar-B-Q has been serving up tasty food ever since. The same original recipes that built Rudy's Leon Springs' reputation are now available throughout the Southwest. Our pits are 100% wood fired with oak, a slower burning wood than the mesquite used by others. Along with time and oak, we cook with a dry spice that ensures each plate of Rudy's Bar-B-Q is perfectly ready for you. Apply some of our famous "Sause" and dinner is served.
