Have loved New Mexican entree, chips and salsa, and iced tea forever. Service is good and quick. Main advantage is in and out feeling full and at reasonable price in 20-30 minutes.

The best chips and salsa in town. I have tried most of the items on the menu and they are all excellent!

I ate there while in Lufkin after reading the reviews. I myself was disappointed in the food. The prices were very low, and the chips and hot sauce were great, but that it where it ended for me. The beef and cheese enchiladas were bland and lacked any flavor. The rice also was bland, the refried beans were good. I... More

Morales has two locations, one in Lufkin and one on the way to Nacogdoches. I spent years hearing people talking about going here and how much they loved it and finally got the chance to visit for myself. We went for a very late lunch to the one on first street and found ourselves to be the only ones there.... More

Of course we are regulars to the one out of town. The waiter is really nice and knows what we want when we walked thru the door. Food is good. The building is not new, but is clean. Really friendly place.

The owner is Juanita and she and her family own Morales on 59 North and the one on First Street in downtown. Alcohol is not served at the downtown location. This is an authentic Mexican food restaurant with no frills or fancy settings. The locals frequent it because it is good food, consistent service, the best salsa and it is... More

I have eaten here several times too many with a friend who loves to eat here and orders the same thing every time. The waiters know exactly what to bring her when she sits down. I have struggled to find anything that I thought was worth coming back for over and over. The food is bland with not a lot... More

I'vue been eating at Morales' for years and years. It has remained consistently good all these years. The location in Redland is just as good and sometimes even better than the downtown Lufkin location. Being from Nacogdoches, that makes a for a shorter drive. While the service can be iffy at times, they are extremely friendly and the food makes... More

Morales is a family owned and operated restaurant. I have been eating there for as long as I can remember. It is authentic Mexican food. It's located right on highway 59 between Lufkin and Nacogdoches. Some of the items on the menu are named for the customers that like to eat them.
