My family decided they wanted Italian food on a recent trip to Marshall. I had read a few reviews of the place that referenced the owner or manager having some, shall we say, "personality issues"? I took it with a grain of salt, as most...people seemed to like the food and figured my bunch wasn't picky and would unlikely have a run in. Wrong. My husband and daughter stepped out of the vehicle, my husband with a mask in his hand, our daughter retrieving hers from the backseat. I was in the front of the car, in the process of putting mine on, when this clown burst out of the door of his establishment, berating us, "You can't come in here without masks! Everyone has to wear them! No exceptions!" The last sentence was punctuated with him jabbing a finger at me, still sitting in my vehicle. Needless to say, we took our business elsewhere. None of us had an issue with complying with the mask request, but I had a major issue with this creep making a scene in the parking lot. Through some surreal means, I felt like I had been transported to an episode of Seinfeld and was waiting in line with Jerry and Elaine for soup. My only regret is not telling this jerk to his face, precisely what unnatural acts he could perform with his chicken marsala and the horse he rode in on. My advice is to not order your pizza with a side of psycho.More
We got there at 11, our server took care of us until he have us our food. We wanted things and had to pause eating till he came to check on us for us to ask him for the things. Took probably 10 mins. I'm...sure he is a good waiter but could've checked on us more. Food was a bit blend which is why I added salt.More
I have never had dinner here. I called asking about a specific pizza. The lady who answered was absolutely wonderful! She asked a Mgr, or owner, and I could hear him yelling at her in the background!!!! I apologized to her and stated that person...didn’t need to be a bi**h about it and laughed. Then as I began to place my order with her he picked up the and then proceeded to tell me what he was and wasn’t going to do! I explained I would order elsewhere and hung up. Then moments later he called my phone and began to go off on me about his lack of professionalism. This is NO place to take a family, NO place to eat, and NOT a way to do business!More
The food is excellent the service is great prices are very reasonable salads are very fresh. Only place you're going to find any disappointment is the lack of flexibility for any substitution of any kind pasta sauce Etc you take it like it's listed on...the menu or you don't get it at all there is no gray area in that kitchen. But I continue to go back it's great food at a great priceMore
Good Italian dishes, great service. Arrive (unknowingly) at closing time for dinner and we said we would go elsewhere, but they insisted we eat with them. They were very accommodating despite the late hour of our arrival. Since we were driving across the country and...had few other dinner choices, we were so pleased b6 their graciousness. Dinner was quite good (veal and chicken dishes) and the salad and bread was very good too. Could not say enough about their super customer service!More
There aren't many quality eating choices on Rt 59 after you leave the Houston area, so be careful. After many hours on the road, we needed a break and some dinner, so we stopped at Cafe Italia which has good ratings on Trip Advisor &...Yelp. Our waiter was professional and gracious. The restaurant appeared clean, but the decor was definitely dated and in need of updating. The food was reasonably good and served without a long wait. I wasn't too impressed with their eggplant, but the others in our party liked their pizza and pasta quite well.More
