Choose el corregidor based on the revieuws and did like it. We didnot have a resa but as we came in late for lunch we were able to get a table. No tourists ( or at least everybody did speak Spanish) which to me is allways a good sign. Even more as for Spanish standards the price is on higher... More

What a superb Spanish culinary experience, though far from heavy "touristic" local "tapas" dishes! (Also available in a lighter, more modern version). Still the restaurant atmosphere is great, very appealing to locals and foreigners alike (being Spaniards living many years abroad, I think we can represent both expectations). Our party of three shared two excellent appetizers, tempura vegetables (crunchy and... More

Their menu is available in English although we preferred to try to sort out the menu on our own. What a fun time! The glass of wine we had before the restaurant opened at 8:30, was on our bill at the end of the meal and they were only 1Euro each. They have an appetizer plate that features regional dishes... We ate here on a Sunday night when many other restaurants were closed. The restaurant is very close to the main square but does little to promote itself: we had to ask if it was open since the restaurant is upstairs (there is a bar/garden downstairs). Restaurant is nicely decorated and a really lovely room but it was empty for... More

This place came highly recommended to us by a friend in Madrid, so maybe we just caught them on an off night. Food was good, not great, and service not very friendly or helpful.

My least favorite meat during three week holiday in Spain. Arrived at the restaurant a 22:00 and it was empty until we left at midnight and this was a Friday night. We had the "Gastronomique menu" which we found expensive for the quality we received. Service was inpersonal and unfriendly ...not rude, just not friendly and cold.

Restaurant belongs to the Hotel Spa la casa del rector and has the same friendly and helpful staff. Food was astonishing and excellent. learned a lot about local cuisine which is seasonal and regional. Try all forms of the local eggplant, as salad, main dish, side dish and even sweet. D'ont eat too much of it as it might prove... More
