After having traveled to Poland, we were craving Polish cuisine. As we entered, we ordered two plates of pirogues. While we noticed that the price was rather high (between 7 and 9 EUR) per plate, we brushed that aside to enjoy the moment. The pirogues were delicious, and the beer spectacular (can never go wrong with Polish beer). Soon after... More

Those who know the taste of Polish cuisine can detect easly that the food in most of the cases is defrosted and reheated.I would suggest to have less dishes in the menu, but try to have them always fresh. I honestly do not recommend.

Food below average. Golonka (20E) we were served was still frozen inside, Ikea's is way tastier (6,50E); pierogi were pretty much tasteless; potatoes reheated in a microwave. Not mentioning that all of the dishes were served on pizza plates ( after years of working in catering I pay attention to these little touches). Will not recommend for food. Fantastic choice... La Polonesa is a Polish restaurant located next to the Atocha train station, approximately 5 or 10 minutes walking. The restaurant seems more a living room of a house than a restaurant, which is so cozy. The ambience is familiar, according to what the Polonesa wants to communicate, delicious polish recipes home cooked. It is advisable to book before going,... More

This place is ran by older couple who make one's guests feel like they are visiting long lost (Polish) aunt, the illusion furthered by the interiors which are a cross between "grandma's place" and little Polish village museum, with national costumes and nic nacs on display. We were a large group of mixed nationalities, and the food appealed to everyone's... More

During our visit to Madrid, we unexpectedly 'discovered' this lovely restaurant in the center of Madrid. Live piano music drew our attention as we wandered on the streets of this neighborhood. After days of tapas and more tapas... I was thrilled to have a good comfort-food dinner in a peaceful environment. My husband who is vegetarian (Madrid is not a... More

typical good polish food, nothing spectacular but worth trying, everything is home made. Interiors need a little renovation but overall good place for Sunday lunch.
