Decent food for what you pay for. Is very convenient for downtown office personnel. Wouldn't make a special trip.

Great breakfast burritos. Chicken and dumplings, chili dog, and chicken fried steak are my favorite specials. And, don't miss the Thanksgiving special coming up in November. Great hangout place in the mornings to catchup on the local gossip, or possibly join in a Bible or...More
Face it - this place is not a fancy restaurant. Inside it's a dive. But the food makes up for the ambiance. Down home cooking like Mom used to make. Deli sandwiches, burgers, homemade soups and salads are the fare. Check the hours.
They only offer a small menu, but the prices are good and you get your food fast. You order at the counter and then take a seat. They have basic sandwiches, soup, hamburgers and even pie. The location is walkable to many downtown offices.
Mondays are red beans and rice days, and well worth the wait. Filled with ham, sausage and, of course, red beans and rice, tastiest version in town. The place may not be much to look at, but the people are nice, decent folk and the...More
Locals recommended this tiny little place for a great lunch. And it was, with fat sandwiches, big sodas and dinette interior. A throwback to the good ol' days of diners with good eats.
I love these hamburgers, but $5 or more is a little much for a place like that. So when you bring it down to NORMAL prices Ill come back. We dont all work in the oil field.
Average, blah, predictable, boring, mediocre, been done to death by so many in last 75 years. Not worth the price.
they have some of the best breakfast burritos in town, we order them for the office every week or so and no one is able to resist. It's good fresh homecooked food.
I usually get the hamburger. People I am with get the beans and rice ans they really like the food and the people,
