The brisket was EXCELLENT!!! The barbeque sauce was also good, as were the sausage, potato salad, beans, and macaroni and cheese. The delicious peach cobbler is also a must. We have frequented Cooper's numerous times and it is one of our VERY FAVORITE barbeque places in Texas. In fact, we have never found one that we could rate above it.... More

Cooper's has some of the best barbecue west of Luling. We've had the brisket, the pork loin, and the chicken. All quite good. Make sure to ask for the lean brisket-- it's a little pricier but worth it.

Our friends from Texas took us here for a taste of traditional Texas BBQ. Had the brisket and jalapeno sausage. It came with coleslaw and beans, and sliced bread. Great jars of jalapenos on the tables. The meat was very good and nicely cooked. The coleslaw was so-so and the bbq sauce very vinegary. Overall very impressed with the experience... More

Went for dinner. First thing you see when you walk in are the huge bbq pits. You get to pick out what you want from their assortment of great looking meats. We shared a pork chop, chicken and ribs. All was delicious. You eat at picnic tables on butcher paper. A relaxed atmosphere.

It's our first time to eat at this place. We were just visiting Seguin and thought of going to Cooper's a town away. We ordered the Barbecue for 4 ($36.99) Consisting of sausage and beef brisket enough to clog your heart for a month (that's a compliment). You get to eat also coleslaw and potato salad good for 4 people.... More

Let me start off by saying I'm not a big fan of BBQ. However I was sitting with family members that are. We almost unanimously agreed that the chicken was dry. Some of the dark meat was okay. The brisket was okay. The mac and cheese in my opinion was not. The cole slaw was just okay. The potato salad... More

Some consider this the best barbecue in Hill Country, and it's hard to argue with that. Be prepared to eat at picnic tables on waxed butcher paper sheets. But the meat is deliciously slow cooked. Sausage, brisket, pork loin, ribs--all good. If they have pork chops, get them, because they are better than any I've tasted anywhere. Meat charged for... More

If you get a chance, go to Cooper's BBQ! I personally think it is the best BBQ I've ever had. I was in New Braunfels for a wedding this past weekend and had lunch at Cooper's. The sausage, brisket and beef rib we all excellent. The flavor is outstanding and while it's not "cheap" BBQ, often you get what you... More

The building is tin-roofed with exposed rafters, piping, etc. and the floors are concrete. Seating is at long picnic-style tables and benches, less than comfortable and communal as you will be seating with other patrons unless the crowd is sparse. Ordering is through a cafeteria-type line but separated between the meat and side dishes, served by different people and it... More
