Great food, great service. My husband and family love the onion rings. Fried fish is fantastic. We have been coming here for years and it is always consistent in quality and service. If you don't like fish, the chicken fried steak is always good, too. It does get crowded and there can be a good wait for a table, especially... More

Good food. Had the combination plate with fried catfish & crawfish with sides of pinto beans, cole slaw. The hushpuppes were so-so and the sauses were very water down & diluted, but overall good meal. Service was quite good. The onion rings were exclent :-) & fried pickles. The waitress was very good and friendly did not have to ask... More

We have been here twice... The first time was a few months back. Let me first say, this is a great atmosphere! Now to the food... Sigh... It was okay... It was meh. Here we go: Shrimp is decent (Rating 6). Size is average. Hush Puppies are decent (Rating 6). Fries are decent (Rating 6) Burger is fair (Rating 5)... More

Overall the food was good. We had to wait about 30 minutes on a Tuesday night after 7:00. Once seated, the service was quite good. My fried catfish was good, but not the best I've ever had. My wife liked the fried shrimp. The fries were quite good. The plates and cups were styrofoam. In fact, only the forks were... More

This is a great family restaurant to go to. If you like fish you really need to order fish. But you must over the family size onion rings! There great!

Jessica was our server and was super sweet and took great care of us! We ate here for the first time tonight and loved it. We had the fried shrimp, ribs, chicken fried chicken, and the stinger appetizer. Everything we ate was excellent right down to the green beans and sweet corn. Ribs had a smoky flavor that was delicious.... More

Best catfish hands down. And you can't get out without trying the onion rings. Splash them with a little Tabasco. You'll never be happy with an onion ring from anywhere else. Lots of fried food for sure, but my new healthier favorite is the salmon with a spicy sweet glaze. So good. And I get double green beans and no... More

Loved the "Skinny Fish Tacos"! My daughter had the "Skinny Chicken Dinner," it was also very good. There was a platter of onion rings ordered and passed around the table as an appetizer, also very good. The service was pretty good.

If you like large fried shrimp, or tasty fried catfish, or both, you will love this place. It is out of town a little ways but that's good because not many river tubers go there. That's not to say that it's not crowded at times. Try to go at a non-prime time if you can. YOU WILL GET MORE THAN... More

What a truly cool place. Very good food with an awesome atmosphere. The entire staff is bustling around at an impressive pace. I must say that this is among the best dinning choices for many miles around.

This was the very first Clear Springs location. It's actually located in Clear Springs, Texas between Seguin and New Braunfels. The building dates back to 1869 when it was mainly used as a grocery store for the locals. If you are ever in the area, it's worth the trip to check out the history that's behind this popular location. You better come early, standing room only is a common sight here.
