burnt ends is an appetizer at red hot and blue, but by adding beans and cole slaw, it's a great meal. the beans were also super. everything was fresh, the service was above average, even though there was a very large party in there at the time we ate. go there, you won't be disappointed

If you like St. Louis-style (to describe the cut; spare ribs), then this place has Memphis-style (to describe the rub) dry rub awesome ribs (they have the wet kind too). They also offer 3 kinds of sauces - Mojo Mild, Hoochie Coochie Hot, and Sufferin' Sweet barbecue sauce. The standard sides all taste very good, along with a nice cornbread... More

I only had the sausage and cheese plate, but it was amazing. The manager was pleasant and offered a sample of their delicious potato salad. I will absolutely make it back when I have room for lots of bbq.

Our party of 6 ordered pulled pork, pulled chicken, brisket and sausage. Everyone truly enjoyed everything. I tried the fried Pickles and wow! Very good service no complaints. Will definitely return.

We visited this location on Friday 2/19/16 @ around 12:000 pm. We ordered a stuffed baked potato and a hamburger. The stuffed potato came out ice cold (including the meat!!). After cutting my hamburger in half and giving half of it to my blind mom, I found a hair in mine when I took off the bottom bun to put... More

We actually ate there two nights in a row due to this being next-door to the hotel we were staying at, the fried chicken salad I had on the first night was very good! Lots of vegetables and the salad dressing tasted homemade! Also my mother had a burger and it was also very good! So the next night when... More

Finding great BBQ spots in North Texas can be hit-or-miss. Solution: serve Memphis style instead of Texas style! My family ate here to take advantage of their promotional offering of a ribs platter for two and four sides for $19.99. We ordered our ribs dry so we could add sauce ourselves to suit our tastes. The ribs (pre-sauce) were very... More

We love RH&B. I prefer this style of BBQ as opposed to the Texas style that is so popular here. I am a huge fan of their sauces and I have never had anything here that I didn't like. My favorite is the pulled pork, the Idaho pig (hickory smoked baked potato) and their sides. We even had the sides... More

I have eaten at this particular location twice. Bad experience booth times. My husband and I were craving some Memphis Style ribs after overdosing on turkey and hab for the holidays. We were very disappointed with the quality of the ribs. There were very dry and the ends were not edible. We will not return to this location. The location... More

Description
Red Hot and Blue is a full-service, casual-themed restaurant chain and caterer featuring delicious award-winning ribs, Memphis-style barbeque, smoked wings, and Southern sides and desserts. The atmosphere is steeped in legendary and contemporary blues music and delivers a large dose of Southern hospitality in a fun and entertaining dining environment. History: The first Red Hot and Blue restaurant opened in Arlington, Virginia in 1988, started by Lee Atwater, Don Sundquist and friends. Don Sundquist was from Memphis and served in the House of Representatives and as governor of Tennessee. The late Lee Atwater was an amateur blues musician and political figure that managed George H.W. Bush's successful race for the presidency. These men were friends who longed for authentic Memphis-style barbeque and great blues music. Unable to find that combination anywhere in the Washington, DC area they decided the only way to get it done was to open a restaurant of their own. The Memphis-style barbeque chain celebrated its 25th Anniversary in 2013 by partnering with a charitable organization at 24 different restaurant locations. The yearlong celebration culminated in the presentation of thousands of dollars in donations to local charities. The Name: The name, "Red Hot and Blue" is taken from the title of D.J. Dewey Phillip's radio show that that aired on WHBQ-AM in Memphis, Tennessee in the 1950s. This radio show launched the careers of Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis and Johnny Cash and broadened the audience for artists such as BB King, Muddy Waters, Robert Cray and Rufus Thomas. Red Hot & Blue Dine-In, Take-Out and Catering. Hickory-smoked Memphis-style BBQ, Ribs, Wings, Beef Brisket, Smoked Chicken, Seafood, Full-service Bar, in a Family-friendly atmosphere with a heapin' helpin' of Southern Hospitality!
