Every time I come from NJ to Austin, we stop here for dinner. This time, I discovered spicy BBQ sauce and am now hooked. Had the pulled pork sandwich and loved it. Can't say enough good things about the food and the service.

All the reviews said this was the best BBQ around well I think it was a very good BBQ but I have had better in Texas, not many but one or 2. I would give it 4.5 stars if it were an option.

Really good barbecue. Not quite as good as the original site in Driftwood. Great place to eat before a Round Rock Express game.

This was generally a good experience visiting from Massachusetts. The wait was short, the waitstaff was courteous, helpful and prompt. The food lacked a little of what I was expecting in Texas BBQ. The sausage and ribs were good but the brisket was dry and overcooked. It could have been the pieces I was served as it looked like they... More

I went during the week with 2 colleagues from work as we were all in town on a business trip. The dining area is a lot of communal tables. I went with a 3 meat combo that had brisket, pork ribs, sausage. Then between the 3 of us we got a beef rib to share. The brisket is where it... More

Caution: The Salt Lick Plate portions are LARGE, so come hungry! When I visited, it was lunchtime, so I went with the sandwich. Sandwich: Pulled Pork Sandwich ($9.95). The sandwich is piled onto a sesame seed roll. I poured on the spicy BBQ and indulged. Great taste, plenty of meat, and real BBQ. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Sides: Cole Slaw and Beans.... More

If you go to salt lick you will always be pleased. There is only one way to order....family style all the brisket, ribs, and sausage you want. Along with endless sides. Service is the best as well and there blackberry cobbler is out of this world.

Great waitress but the host ran down an elderly gentleman while rushing us to our table. What was the hurry. Decent ribs served with poor sausage. Tenderness was the only thing the brisket had going for it because it had no flavor. What's up with the so called potato salad, nothing but potatoes boiled in chicken stock with nothing added.... Love the Salt Lick BBQ. Normally visit Driftwood or DFW locations. Same friendly atmosphere and good BBQ. Live music on Saturday nights. Beef and pork ribs good. 'The Rancher' includes brisket, ribs, turkey and sausage. Generous portions and a nice contrast.
