Good BBQ but sides aren't the best. Beans are pretty good though. Country feel and service is average. Not a go to place for this BBQ lover.

The best small Mom & Pop BBQ in Central Texas. The brisket melts in your mouth and I wish I could get their beans canned to eat at home.

I had chopped beef and my husband had the moist brisket. DELICIOUS. As was the BBQ sauce. The potato salad and coleslaw had absolutely no flavor. The staff were okay, not overly friendly or anything. Also, it was a Friday night and they were trying to keep more than half of the seating area closed which was more annoying than... More

The food was excellent... all the meat cuts were tender and aaahh.. The sauce is unique you can see the Pepper?? spicies.. The pinto beans are the best ever anywhere in San Marcos.. and Lockhart. I lve Coopers Pit in Llano but Woody's is right there neck and neck his pinto's are the best.. The "tater salad" very good sometimes... More

I've lived in San Marcos most of my life, and have eaten at just about all of the other places that have ever opened here in San Marcos, and Woody's is the best. Woody himself took a break (he tried to retire) from doing the best BBQ in San Marcos, I'm glad he's back . Most of the rest of... More
