Stopped in on the way to Houston and was very happy we did. Food was good and service was even better. Had the pot roast, meatloaf, and chicken fried steaks at our table and no complaints. Had the fried okra and mushrooms for a appetizer. Recommend for good home cooked meal for a good price.

An interesting place in the middle of nowhere, TX. The food tastes fine with good portions and fair prices. Menu is typical casual American fare. People were nice and the place was clean. I'm not used to this type of restaurant layout though, big standalone building with no windows or glass doors, so you have no idea what you're walking... More

Good service, tea & French fries. Fish, tarter sauce, cocktail sauce & meatloaf were not good. Delicious banana pudding. Liked the Mexican cornbread.

We make a point of stopping here for lunch whenever we're in Seguin. The service is friendly and the food is consistently good. It's a bit overpriced (a cup of chicken noodle soup today was $3.99 and it was tasty, but mostly noodles with little chicken to be found.) Sandwiches and entrees all seem to average $8-12 or more. The... More

The food is pretty heavy here, it's a country soul food kind of feel, it's a tad dim inside. Even when going for 'lighter' food choice like fish. You still get quite a bit of fat/grease which is good if you like that.

I had the cod and shrimp. Delicious. Hush puppies were tasty. Fries were seasoned. Shrimp was tender and large, cod was excellent

Good home style food with descent prices. Now Windows, but great staff and service! Pot roast sand which was tasty, and cobbler was very tasty! Off of I-10.

I ordered the Cajun grilled catfish and ask for it well done and had to scrape the slimy stuff off the bottom and my husband said they forgot the lemon pepper on his lemon pepper catfish. The greens in the salad were turning brown and I'm not sure who told them the stuff in the basket was corn bread, but... More

I LIKE the food here, but I don't LOVE it. Seems like it's a go-to place for many locals, but I'm not "wowed" by it. Good fried catfish and lunch specials.

Great home style cooking, generous portions. Love their cobbler! Nice family atmosphere and great sea ice.
