We popped in here on our bikes and discovered a great meal! The hugest peel and eat I found. Cheap beer, relaxing atmosphere. Locals spot. They are open until they run out of food! Go for early lunch!

The food was good and the service was excellent. That being said, serving a cocktail in a Styrofoam cup and the flimsy plastic utensils ruined the drink and made food somewhat difficult to cut.

Not fancy which doesn't bother me at all. Little surprised they had fold up tables though. Food makes up for that. Fried pickles for appetizers, Dirty Al's burgers and fries were all outstanding. Portions are big too.

I remember it from many, many years ago and I was not impressed. The place has not changed at all and the food is average.

Great seafood that tastes amazing and is super fresh. Restaurant is pretty basic but the food makes up for it. Worth a stop for sure.

This was a fun, down to earth place to eat. Very casual, family-friendly. The food was amazing and the $3 drinks were hands down. The Mango Frozen Marguerita was to die for!!! Service was great and it was packed the day we went.

First time here at Dirty ALS. The wait time was short and the staff was friendly. The seafood is fresh and tasty. Being from Southeast Texas, I KNOW good seafood and the food here was pretty average. It's was good but I had had better fried shrimp the night before at our hotel, Hilton Garden Inn. I think that the... More

We always going to Dirty Al's when we come to the beach. Boiled shrimp as an appetizer is good. They were huge. Casual restaurant mostly everyone wears shorts.

Very reasonably priced seafood, and has a full. We preferred the seafood though. We went there when there was a special on shrimp as an appetizer-one half pound for only five bucks. How could you go wrong? Excellent!! Nice view of the bay.

About Us
Dirty Al’s has been in operation since 1986 and has always provided the freshest seafood to thousands of visitors from all over the world.
As a family owned and operated business, we have always taken great pride in taking care of each customer and providing them with a unique experience that they can only get from eating at Dirty Al’s. Dirty Al promises every customer that they will only be served the absolute freshest seafood caught in the wild off the Gulf of Mexico.
A Father and his Sons Make a Great Team!
Alfonso Salazar, better known as “Dirty Al” originally started shrimping as a young man with his father and 6 brothers. In 2003, he and his youngest son, Cameron, who graduated from Culinary School, transformed his bait stand into a restaurant where together they have been known for having “The World’s Best Fried Shrimp”! In 2005, his other two sons returned home to help grow the business. To this day, they now own 6 restaurants on beautiful South Padre Island and continue to bring only the “best” Gulf Seafood to each customer’s table.
