I have been eating here for five years. This small sushi and Japanese food is frequented by locals and many Asians. When I take my grand kids and daughter they are always accommodating. Sushi is always fresh and flavors are good and portions are generous....More
This place.....is a gem! The absolute best Japanese restaurant in Sugar Land, TX! I say Japanese instead of sushi because they have so much more than sushi. Japanese curry rice, ramen, donburi, bento boxes, sushi (traditional and modern takes) poke, Chinese restaurant style dishes! It's...More

amazing variety, asked the chef (Alan) to surprise me and he went over and beyond. Great rolls, small owner operated place. very good udon.
Ichiban is locally owned. Quality has always been high. I think ownership may have recently changed, but the food have been consistently good. The udon is excellent and sushi is creative.
