If you are a smoker, this is the restaurant for you. My family and I were surprised when we walked in and were accosted by cigarette smoke. I guess Webster doesn't have the same restaurant regulations as Houston. This is a HUGE restaurant and it was pretty full when we visited. The decibel level was super high to the point... More
Mamacitas used to be in our rotation of area restaurants until a year or two ago when they upped their prices. There's a lot of restaurant competition in the area, particularly with Tex-Mex, so we decided to check out other places in the area and hadn't been back in a while, until last night. Like a throw back to another... More
Have been frequenting this restaurant on & off for years and we recently decided to try again to see what it is currently like. WE were seated promptly & the chips & salsa were excellent, hard to find a green salsa equal to Mamacita's. The entree's were not as consistent as the salsa & left a lot to be desired... More
Stopped by here on the way home from work. I live in the area and my wife and I ate here once before and liked it. I sat at the bar and ordered a beer, no problem. I ordered nachos with beef fajita and queso. Too bad I got chicken and shredded cheese. The bartender goes and grabs me some... More
We live in this area, but haven't eaten here in a long time. Well, we will NEVER go back. Terrible bartender that couldn't make a mojito or Mexican martini (off their drink menu), food took forever (we arrived at 6:00 to beat the crowd because they do not take reservations) and the food was terrible. One plate was COLD, others... More
Have dined here for many years. Recently, we have dined here several times in the last thirty days. The Tex-Mex here is arguably some of the best around. the salsa is great too. However, the service has gotten LESS THAN PAR this year. I don't know if it is the management(managers) or what. They really need to address this issue.
We used to frequent other Tex Mex places in the area but they've all gone to hell, honestly. Mamacitas, although it can be a bit pricey, is consistent with its quality of drinks and food. If you're looking for solid Tex Mex in the area, Mamacitas is your place!
