Small front, much larger inside. Food was terrific, authentic, priced well and served up fast and hot. We will come here every time we need to be in Wylie.

We have eaten here several times. Food is always excellent, served quickly and very reasonably priced. We prefer it over other local Mexican food places (that are maybe more popular with fancier surroundings, but all more expensive with less tasty food). La Joya is our family go- to for good Mexican eats.

La Joya is a small restaurant located in Historic Downtown Wylie. There is a homey atmosphere due to their small size. They recently more than doubled their seating capacity by acquiring the space next to them and removing the shared wall. They serve what I will describe as authentic Mexican food( I was raised in El Paso and ate Mexican... More

Our favorite Chili Rellenos! Get the beef fajita ones! Love the wait staff! Now they have expanded and can seat more patrons! Love!

I was expecting a little more of our food but it took a long time and arrived cold. It wasn't bad food but it wasn't great either.

No trouble filling up the new expansion. Food is still terrific, fairly priced and good portions. Gloria, who usually takes care of us, still the best at seeing to the needs of the customers. Friendly, funny and professional, she keeps things moving right along. You will never regret a visit. Also try the delicious hand made hamburgers and home made... More

Went in at lunch time and they were very busy but service was good and quick. The food was excellent and very tasty! Their salsa is to die for some of the best I e had. Small place with little atmosphere but the food makes up for all of that and their prices are reasonable.

Small little diner with really good Tex Mex. We've only been there for breakfast but it was great. Run by a family and you probably want to bring cash. If you want a big city experience, this isn't it. However, if you want a little family place to eat and some pretty good Mexican, this is it.

Absolutely delicious home made Mexican food. Everything we had was authentic and so very good. Great small town feel service. Not a lot of ambiance but the food is worth the visit. They have a wonderful reputation for home made tamales which we will be ordering.
