We stopped at the Hell's Backbone Grill for dinner - utterly amazing fresh food!! It reminded me (a city person) how natural farm vegetables taste like

Dinner: Excellent service, good food, fun cocktails. Really appreciate that they are introducing local veggies, etc. Would be nice, for the price, to also have more organic, grass-fed meats, etc. but overall the concept is fantastic and I would go back in a heartbeat! Breakfast: Service decent and food very good. Lunch: While we ate breakfast they packed us a... More

Dear friend, Thank you for the kind words about out restaurant! I want to say that ALL of our meats are both organic and grass fed and finished. We literally won't serve meat that isn't, so if we can't get clean meat that got to live a normal, happy animal life, out of doors and on grass, we just delete that... More

I've heard about Hell's Backbone in many years of coming to Southern Utah to hike. I finally made a reservation on a family trip, and we had dinner here last Thursday. It as great. It's a real farm-to-table place, with great care taken with all of the ingredients. Our waiter joked as he described the specials that 'the last thing... More

We were so looking forward to Hells Backbone Grill but were disappointed it didn't live up to our expectations. It was more diner style food, old style home cooking. Everyone was really nice and the setting was beautiful so it wasn't wasted and the Boulder mountain lodge was lovely.

Service was slow at first but my server more than made up for it with good humor and a friendly attitude. Plus, I got to exercise my dog around the enormous lawn area after lunch. Good stop!

we arrived in a snow storm and just before the 1:00 closing time. we were warmly greeted and a table for 11 was made available. All our dishes were good and even one for our gluten free son in law. Meat loaf was good and spicy. Blt were on their flatbread and good.

Delicious food based on the "slow-food" movement and its principles but not a family restaurant. High-end food with high-end prices. More wine on the menu than entrees.Desserts were divine.

All we had was magically tasty with subtle fresh herbs in all. The only thing that could be improved is the morning coffee, but a small weakness at an extraordinary gem amidst the canyons

Hell's Backbone Grille deserves every award they have received and from our perspective exceeded reviews. Quaint, eclectic to say the least. Everything local and fresh. The pumpkin apple soup was to die for as was the BLT. We left with bags of goodies: cookbooks and clothing! A must stop, but if going for dinner you better have a reservation -... More

This urban bistro is totally unexpected in the middle of nowhere, between Bryce and Moab. Very unique, tasty and accommodating!

Description
Opening for the season on March 17, 2017

Blake and Jen serve fresh organic food that comes directly from their own 6.5 acre Boulder farm for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Everything we offer is handmade, even our hot sauce and jam! Our beef and lamb is grass-fed and finished and comes from a local rancher. We have children's menus available for all three meals. We're deeply committed to our farm to table ethos and to serving delicious place-based cuisine in a beautiful and casual setting. We offer a curated selection of sustainably produced wines and a full bar with craft cocktails. We also are able to offer food to go, if you are just driving on through!
