I ordered the Buffalo burger with fries. I took it back to my cabin across the street (Hitch N Post RV Park, go there!) and enjoyed it with a glass of whiskey. The burger was done perfectly and was accented with onions, tomato and shredded lettuce along with a wonderful aioli sauce. No mustard or ketchup which made it perfect.... More

This place is right on the main drag in town and oh so much better than McDonald's right next door. This is a good local hangout for the locals. Burgers and fries, chicken sandwiches and plenty of ice - cream delights. If you're coming to Kanab, this is a great stop over for lunch.

I ordered the onion rings and burger and it was worth the wait, food was yummy. Old style drive-in type of place. Nothing fancy but good reasonably prices food. Great place to take the kids for fresh cooked burgers and shakes.

The food is fast food, so taking that into consideration the food was good for what it is. The fry sauce was really good & the tater tots were perfect & the burgers were juicy and flavorful. This is fast food I would get again. Enjoy!

Stopped in here for a buger. They actually have a pretty big menu. This is not the place to go if you want super healthy options. There are veggie burgers, turkey burgers, and bison burgers. I had a chicken sandwich while my husband had a regular burger. They were both very good. Our only real downfall, at the time we... More

I eat at Big Al's Burgers every time I visit Kanab. Sometimes this is the only restaurant that I eat at when visiting Kanab! Burgers are great with a lot of different burger options. It is a testament to the quality of their food that they are holding their own in business considering there is a McDonald's right next door.

Big Al's serves corn dogs, beef and bison burger, fries and the like. They do it all old school style. No frills, no fuss, just classic American food done right. Lunch time can be crowded, so plan ahead. Support local businesses when you travel !!!

My family enjoyed the Buffalo burgers that are their specialty and loved them. My husband said they would make you give up beef. The cashier was very friendly.

The point of this review is to remember that this is a fast food joint. Don't expect anything posh. If you expect a fast food, you will be pleasantly surprised as it would be considered high end. The grilled chicken sandwich was our favorite as the buffalo burger was super dry. We enjoyed the plain fries over the sweet potato... More

Description
We learned about Big Al's when we asked two locals where they went to eat. They were kind of reluctant to tell us, kind of glanced at each other and then gave up the name. We went at 1:30 on a Friday, and there was always a line to order the entire 45 minutes we were there. The limited menu is cooked to order, so there is about a ten minute wait for your food. This place is a hidden gem and we seemed to be the only non locals there. My green chili burrito was delicious, the sweet potato fries flavorful and others in our party were equally happy with their selections. Big Al's is located right next to a MacDonalds, and sure was doing more business.I almost hate to add it to the listing because Kanab is a tourist town, and this seems to be the local go to place that does a good business without advertising in any of the tourist publications.
