When I first read about this, I thought it must just be a gimmick, but it really is a swinging grill! The owner/griller JD is quite entertaining, so plan to spend a few minutes chatting with him. It does get busy, but he likes to...More

Stopped here en route to our motel (Kokopelli Inn) from Monument Valley. The "swinging steaks" sign drew up, and sure enough, that swing really cooks the steaks perfectly! Had a delicious medium rare NY steak, with yummy beans and salad. The beer is ice cold...More

Romantic, authentic style lodge with comfortable rooms, jacuzzi and inside pool. Fridge and microwave in the room. Try the house restaurant, steak house, great food on swinging grill

This place has a lot of character. The menu only has a few options but our steak (served with beans, salad & toast) was perfectly cooked on the swinging grill. We really enjoyed the band.

Not too far from Monument Valley and well worth the detour. Steak cooked to perfection with salad and beans and beer. As informal as it gets and so good.

Oh c'mon now, you KNOW you are not going to eat anyplace cooler than this! I would never have even come here but the guide at Monument Valley said it was the best. And, if you want a very good and unique dining experience, this...More

Well after arriving at our hotel walking distance down the road "The Hat Rock Inn" they advised us to try here and we did. Luckily we were under a tin roof so the rain just missed us as we were outside. Pretty good grub and...More

If you are not a meat eater you probably will be disappointed. Fun place to eat and drink simple but good western grilled steak and the fixings.

Outdoor setting, very casual with attentive waitstaff and enjoyed watching my steak cooked by a pro on an open fire whilst listening to Albuquerque country FM.

Hello - -- one of the Monument Valley tour offices told me that you have gluten-free food. Is that true? I have celiac gluten intolerance so do require gluten-free. Is your kitchen able to make sure that there is no cross-contanimation with wheat flour or or with cooking oil that was used for cooking flour battered foods? -- How late are you open for dinner on Wednesdays and Thursdays?

In general, Mexican Hat, Utah would not be a place I would go to parse meals.
