It was a fine breakfast, nothing extraordinary. I recommend it as functional and useful, but I can't get more excited than that.

Ordered a medium steak, it was well done and so dry that I couldn't eat it. Service was poor, definitely understaffed. The waitress flew by our table once and asked if the food was ok. I was replying that the steak was overcooked but she didn't even pause to hear my response. So I am not sure why she bothered... More
We were passing through town toward Torrey and this was the only restaurant we saw so we stopped. There were plenty of other cars in the parking lot so we figured why not? I ordered the turkey special. Sliced turkey on a slice of bread with mashed potatoes and gravy. Unfortunately, the turkey was the processed kind -- not what... More
It was very busy when we arrived about 7:45pm. We learned that the largest restaurant in town had closed down. My husband had chicken fried steak which he found so, so with lackluster vegetables. It took a while to get our food and the roll never arrived. I had the senior hamburger with fries and thought it was delicious. It... More
It's pretty slim pickin's in Monticello. This is a good place if you don't want pizza and have kids to feed since they have a reasonable kids menu. It was busy when we visited and there was one waitress doing it ALL. Seating people, taking orders, bringing the food and ringing at the register. She was doing a great job... More
After a long day in the parks we were glad to find this local restaurant. It was very busy but our waitress Lucy was unflappable. We received our food in a timely fashion and my fried chicken and husband's steak were delicious. Small salad bar included which was great as I was craving a salad.
For such a small town, this is a really good restaurant. The soups are homemade and delicious. The salad bar had a very good variety and the menu offered plenty of choices. The portions are very large. Everything seems to be made from scratcg...french fries are hand cut, the mashed potatoes real, and the gravy flavourful and creamy! Great fried... More
Wednesday evening "Mexican" food night One of us had the burrito plate, the other the enchilada. Both dry. Pretty tasteless. Portions were large and filling though. Best part of the plate was the rice and refried beans. As another reviewer mentioned, this and pizza are the only game in town of a late evening (7 pm) outside of tourist season.... More
