This food isn't imitation. It's refreshing to eat here and realize that it is authentic. I recommend the California burrito and the tacos al pastor.

Diego's is great. Having grown up in Southern California and always enjoying easy access to my favorite authentic Mexican food restaurants, moving to Utah was a shock. Good Mexican food was extremely hard to come by. It was a huge relief to come across Diego's. Diego's serves real Mexican food, not that imitation stuff that you get at a lot... More

My husband and I eat at Diegos at least once a week. It is the only taco shop that reminds me of taco shops back in California. The owner is really nice and the food is legit. Prices are extremely reasonable. Give them a chance, the food is awesome :)

We eat at Diego's every time we come to Utah from the east coast. You just can't get Mexican food like this where we live. (You KNOW it's a good sign when no one in the place is speaking English as a first language.) Prices are great, food is amazing, and atmosphere is busy and fun. It's our favorite dive.

There is a sign on the counter of Diego's where you order that says "Service with a smile...sometimes." We must have missed the 'sometimes', as we were greeted with more of an indifferent annoyance than anything. The girl at the counter was extremely rude, may be the worst customer service I have ever experienced. When we asked questions about the... More

I will never return to this restaurant. When i walked in it was not clear if you order at the counter or sit down to be waited on. My husband and i stood by the counter kind of waiting for a queue from the owner, he saw us but continued to have small talk with the couple who were obvious... More

Diego's is a taco shop--with no pretensions to be anything more. So that said, it's as good a taco shop as any and better than most. Their strong points are: 1. authentic Mexican fare (no gringo-ized dishes here): tacos (carne asada, fish, tongue, etc). Their tacos "al pastor" are especially good--two small corn tortillas loaded with marinated pork cooked on... More

Sad to know that a place recently remodeled will not consider being accessible to people with disabilities. Their counter is so high that a person in a wheelchair could not place an order or reach over to pay the bill.

My favorite taco joint in Provo. Everything tastes amazing, especially the carnitas and al pastor tacos, and whats more, its never made me sick. Also, conveniently located next to a tattoo parlor if your into that kind of thing.
