Fresh ground local beef, buns made there, a long line of local fans. You had to ask special for the old style fries with the bark on, which I didn’t know. They serve a exotic meat option each month but camel didn’t appeal to me.

We had to stop by to try the Double Ben Burgers with some shakes. Everything was good, we were surprised at how good the shakes were. The full meal was very filling and only a few bucks more than a chain dinner, and of much...greater quality. We stopped in at 430pm on a Saturday to try to avoid the lines.More
We came after working moving our house, very hungry and enjoyed every bite of all we ordered! Great place to come with the family!
Another stop on the Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives road map! Had the Big Ben with cheese snd it was great, the fry sauce gave the fries a little extra awesomeness. The shakes are also one of the best I’ve had worth the stop alone. Great...food and sone unique options.More
Saw this on “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives,” and had to give it a try. My wife had the Big Ben Burger; I had the Elk Burger. Both were very good - solid, tasty burger with good sauce and a bun that could stand up to...it all. Substituted fried mushrooms for fries and was rewarded with enormous portion (20 mushrooms). Too full for one of their shakes. No seating, FYI, other than a few benches (or your car).More
This is a definite go to spot. I think this place has been here since the start of time. But, they say since 1956. Still owned and operated by the same family. This was our lunch spot back in high school. A simple burger joint...making great burgers. You walk up to the window, place your order, pay, than wait. They call you number and you get your food. No seating or anything like that just take it to your car. The burgers are great and they are famous for the Big Ben. All of their burgers are larger than most and the fries are hand cut and are delicious. Shakes are hand made and you need a spoon not a straw. The menu has grown to be very large over the years and they now offer the exotic meat of the month burger. This place even made it on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. And has not changed one bit. There is even a Facebook group, burger bar fans (Roy Utah). So if you are on I-15 take the Roy exit and stop in. You won't regret it.More
I have been here three times in my life. First time I was disappointed and thought to myself "maybe It was a bad day for the employees." Second time came around and the burger was at best mediocre. Third time came around figured I'd try...it one last time. It has to be good with that many people in line everyday. NOPE. Every time I have been to this place the bun has been soggy as if they dipped it in water before serving it to me, and the burger is meat with ZERO seasoning. The fries, and the tater tots are nothing to brag about either. I haven't tried the shakes so maybe the shakes are good. With an establishment called burger bar you would expect the burgers to be the star of the menu..... Freddy's, Warren's, McDonald's, Sonics, Burger King, Applebee's, ETC.... all have better burgers.More
We stopped on our way back to Park City after a day at the Golden Spike National Park and we were starving. We had seen this spot on "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives" so our expectations were high - and we were NOT disappointed. My friend...and I each got cheeseburgers that were OUTSTANDING. I wasn't sure I would like the fry sauce (I am usually not a condiments person) so I asked for it on the side..and then tried it and promptly poured it ALL OVER my burger. Omg!! Where have you been all my life fry sauce??? My friend and I split some sides - french fries, onion rings and fried mushrooms. All f these were delicious. We also got shakes. She got the chocolate peanut butter shake (really good with big chunks of peanut butter cups) and I got a malt. The malt was decent but I felt it really needed more MALT because it just tasted like vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup - not very chocolatey and no malt taste. The ice cream was still good though...just not what I was expecting. Overall, I would RUN back to the place if we are ever in the area again. YUM!!!More
Two of our family tried the Burger Bar last week for the 1st time. The burgers were enormous, much larger than we anticipated. The buns were great, and the burger itself was delicious. The fries were hot and crisp too. The shakes we ordered were...very good also. This place is different in that one orders and gets the food outside, with no outside seating. It was a hot day, so we ended up eating in our car with the AC going. I don't know the calorie count of the order, but I do know that I didn't need to eat dinner that evening. We don't live close to Roy, but on occasion when passing through the Ogden/SLC area, we will treat ourselves to a burger and shakes at the Burger Bar.More
Really funny “fast food” spot to eat! Old fashion walk up windows to place your order! HUGE menu. Prices below average! (Banana Split under $4.00). The chicken tenders are BIG, the size of our 11 year old granddaughters hand. Portions for onion rings and French...fries enough for two people, but FF come with the meal. The shakes were filled to the brim of the cap, not just to top of the cup. You will need spoons! Looked like a long wait when we got there, but was actually less than 10 minutes. ( They served 71 when we ordered, our number was 114). Everything was worth the wait. If you are on the Hwy passing Roy, Utah. Take the exit. You will be glad you didMore
I order my food and then waited in line for pickup. The wait time was long, even by their standards. They took my receipt in order to give me my food. I got the good home and two of my sandwiches were made wrong. I...tried to call them and got no answer (got only a continuous busy signal). Tried repeatedly. I came back next day to talk to them. They told me that they only replace same day and that I would either need a receipt or the card used to pay. That was from the manager. I told him I would be back later with the card. He said ok. I came back later and the people at the window had three different people that would come talk to me, then walk away so I had to repeat the issue multiple times. They finally had a fourth worker come tell me that he had no way to look it up by card and that there is NOTHING he can do for me at all. That I have to call the next day between 9-5 “in the possibility that someone will answer the phone”. I told him those were working hours for me and he then said the other main manager will be there from 5 on. But then said that that manager is the only one that MIGHT have some way to handle it. Then told me again to call between 9-5 to talk to the manager. When I asked if it was 9-5 or 5 on, he back peddled and told me that they get busy later and won’t likely answer the phone so I calling after 5 likely won’t be helpful. After I mentioned that he was not making sense, he walked away and got another “manager”. She then came up and said there is no way she can look it up by card and that she is too busy and basically told me to leave, then shut the window.More
Burger bar is an icon in northern utah and famous for its burgers, fries, and old fashioned shakes. Order and wait for your shake and dine in your car. Always worth the wait and your tastebuds will thank you.
Happened upon this place while working in the area and had to try it. Burgers are awesome here. Things are simple, which I like, and the ingredients are fresh. I can’t finish the regular Big Ben burger and fries if I also get a drink....My colleague and myself liked it so much we have been twice in a week. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a good, fresh burger.More
Bun was so soggy it may as well have been dough. Seriously gross. The onion rings had more salt than onion. The shakes though was prettygood. Othe
What can I say! Been going here since I was a kid. Great place to hang when we were in high school. Great burgers, especially the Big Ben. And I love there fries. Always make it a point to stop by when I am in...town. After all Diners, Drive Inns and dives can’t be wrong.More
