Was able to order a GF pizza that was excellent! Staff was friendly and fast. Enjoyed the historical ambiance and the Halloween decorations. Rooms upstairs to rent also, didn't know about them until later.

This is a fun place to eat. Lots of pictures and firehouse stuff to look at. Their menu is huge and has gluten free options. They have everything from hotdogs to steaks, pizza hot and cold sandwiches, etc. The serving was ok but the food was really good.

Old fire station converted to restaurant/bar. Great food, good music and nice decor. Great service, good drinks and fair prices. Definitely worth the trip.

This place deserves its top rating as #1 restaurant in Barre! I cannot recall the last time I ate such a perfect meal. Had the Fisherman's Platter with fresh shrimp, scallops, and fish. Then a wicked delicious homemade creme brulee for dessert. Even the house red wine (Chianti) was above average. My server was very attentive and friendly and service... More

I got a burger ($12) and my husband got a seafood platter ($18). Both were delicious, cooked properly, and received quickly. Our waitress was pleasant and attentive. Nice atmosphere that was accommodating to couples, groups, and families. Try it if you are in the area!

In addition to the several page menu with items named after local and regional firemen you will be well entertained by the hundreds of firehouse artifacts and fun distractions to read. We are two couples and we each loved our food! I had an excellent chile wich comes in 1, 2, or 3 alarm strength. My husband had a very... More

My last visit to Vermont this was an abandoned Fire House. The owner did a great job creating a nice atmosphere restaurant that serves good pub food and has a great selection of regions brews. One of the best dining experiences I've had in a while. And they have an Inn on the 2nd floor, so they close early.
