We started with Roman Gnocchi and Butcher Meatballs and we liked both but the meatballs had 5*****! The seconds were Mussels, Fettuccine with pancetta, pea & basil-pine but pesto, Rigatoni with Vermont bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes etc. Linguine, green beans, potatoes and basil pesto, They were all good, but the Fettuccine and the Lunguine were our top favorites. One of us... More

We don't know Brattleboro, and were wandering around looking for a place to have dinner before a movie at the Latchis, and came upon the Blue Moose Bistro. We were seated at a table next to the window, where we could watch the world go by on Main Street as we ate, and the service was excellent. Friendly, helpful waitress... More

We were looking for something to eat before a movie at the Latchis, and the Blue Moose was in the perfect spot! Since we were interested in a meatless meal, but not tofu or seafood Italian was most likely to succeed and it did! We were there a little early for the dinner crowd and the chef himself welcomed us,... More

I've walked by this restaurant countless times and finally we stopped in for dinner last week. As another reviewer said, it's unobtrusive and I think that's why we passed by it for so long. All food is hand made on sight and quite good. The service is some of the best I've experienced in VT. The chef came out to... More

There are so many great restaurants in Brattleboro. We were walking around and went in to see if this was where we wanted to go for dinner. After talking to the owner chef and waitress we were hooked on it. We came back for dinner and started off with some wine, there was a nice selection. The appetizer was a... More

This is an unobtrusive little bistro but it is fabulous. Stop and eat here. A must is the chick pea fries with aeoli, wonderfully crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside with a wicked aeoli. The menu is expansive with interesting choices. I dined here on 2 nights and if not for a snow storm it would have... More

Waitress was so friendly made us feel very comfortable. The chef came out to talk to us and served us main coarse n checked back in. Super friendly. The food was all hand prepared n absolutely delicious! Topped this off with a bottle of their white wine. It's a small intimate place. I love the atmosphere unlike chain restaurants.... highly... The review posted in December 2016 is right on the money! My wife and I had 7:30 reservations at this restaurant. We were greeted by the overwhelmed /rude waitress and seated in the far end of the small restaurant beside the bar next to the entrance of the bathroom. There were only three other tables and requested to change tables... More

We were two couples visiting from another state. We really wanted to like this restaurant; it seemed from the reviews on the website that it was to be a hidden gem. Sadly, our experience was very disappointing. First off, we arrived a little after 5pm to a dining room that had 2 or 3 other tables occupied. One person in... More

Italian Food is my favorite so I eat a lot of it. I can not understand why this restaurant is #19. I make my own Sunday Gravy and meats. The meatballs, and sauce are as good as any I have had in the North End in Boston. Every meal was great. We had apps, salads, meals, etc. We had the... More
