For Thanksgiving each year we try to find a new place with a buffet offering featuring locally sourced products. This was our first time at Mary's and it was outstanding. We had heard in advance about their signature garlic soup and it did not disappoint. Delicious food, well prepared and in a very homey atmosphere. Depending on when you plan... More

Truly a pleasant and unexpected surprise. Kudos to the chef for his creativity and amazing dishes. Including the homemade raspberry sorbet. Gold stars to our waitress - outstanding service. Go and enjoy a genuine New England setting and a 5 restaurant.

I must be living in a parallel universe from all those folks writing the glowing reviews on Trip Advisor. Reading them and having attended Mary B's in the distant past I eagerly anticipated tonight's epicurean rendezvous with my wife and friends. Their was nothing in the eclectic decor and down at the heels chic of the inn to suggest the... More

On October 1, my son and his bride had their wedding ceremony in Mary's red barn followed by an elegant buffet dinner and dancing. The Inn's staff set up chairs for the ceremony, and afterward, while we had cocktail hour, they removed the chairs and set up a bountiful and delicious dinner buffet. While we ate in the tent attached... More

A very pretty Inn in which we had lunch. They make great play of the farm to table menu. The meat and vegetables may be fresh but I found that they was rather bland.

We stopped for lunch here whilst on an escorted tour with Tauck Tours. The place was full of character and for me it just summed up the spirit and hospitality of Vermont. The food is sourced locally and the proprietors are committed to the Farm to Table movement. Service was extremely courteous and charming and I wish we could have... More

We were in the Middlebury/Bristol area for Fall Family Weekend! We arrived to the warmest of welcomes which prefaced the excellent dining experience to come. Despite the fact they were extremely busy, our server carefully explained all the offerings in detail. Charming room, lovely presentation, superb service, we wanted for nothing and the food was delicious! A memorable experience !... More

I will start by saying everyone here is so friendly. The daughter Laura was the bar tender. the have very interested cocktails they make. We stared our night by hanging out on the patio then moving in to our table. We had a leisurely 3 course meal. I started with the garlic soup. And yes I can see why this... More

What a wonderful place to dine!!!! We were staying at the Inn at Baldwin Creek and dined at Mary's restaurant. The "World Famous" garlic soup is not to be missed (if you love garlic & heavy cream); very rich and delicious. The owners, Doug & Linda, are pioneers of Vermont's "Farm to Table" movement and serve only the freshest local... More
