This is supposedly the place that started the microbrew craze in the late 80s and is definitely worth stopping in. They have some of the most reasonably priced food in the city and a vast range of beers, available as tasters. They do some great experimental brews that are worth trying. Busy place for a reason.

Truth be told, the beer was good and the view on the square was nice. The girl who welcomed and seated us was nice too. But unfortunately we ended up with an impatient waiter, a very impatient waiter, actually borderline rude, who made us want to leave the place as quickly as possible. The only fun part was than when... More

If you are looking for English pub food, this is a close approximation. Traditional offerings in a dark, noisy, busy environment. They serve a broad selection of beers and ales, many of them local.

Vermont Pub and Brewery has a wide selection of American foods to choose from. My personal favorite is their sweet potato fries with honey mustard dipping sauce. They have a good selection of craft beers. The atmosphere is relaxed and is good for business or family dining for lunch or dinner. I've always had decent service there, too.

We found this spot while walking through the Church Street plaza area and it fit the bill for great taste of unique brews and savory lunch too! We each tried different brews and were not disappointed by the flavor and pour! Worth a stop. Smooth pleasant service and more beers to try than we could do for lunch.

My wife and I stopped for supper on a Monday night It was quiet at 6:30 pm but filled up a lot over the course of our supper. I enjoyed a Winter Silk ale and my wife enjoyed a cider. The main courses of mac and cheese and the sausage in a rolled up pastry were okay. Filling and good,... More

This is the Vermont establishment that started the whole craft beer craze. By far, hands down, my favorite place to go for a fantastically inexpensive burger and any number of their on-site brewed craft beers. Great for couples, families and food for both carnivores and vegetarians.

Mediocre food. Tired space. Service is friendly and quick enough. This was the last stop on our 5 stop tour of Burlington food and drink. Too bad it wasn't the first place we went, so we could end on a high note... There are some great local places you MUST check out when coming to Burlington, this is not one... More

I have to admit, I had been for lunch a few times in the past and it was great but based on recent reviews we opted to dine somewhere else but just stopped by for a few drinks. The beer list was very IPA heavy, as are most breweries these days but I always expect to find atleast one lighter... More

Very much a pub and they have great beers, but also great food. They have some tried and true dishes, but have recently updated there menu, so there are a few new dishes to try. Absolutely fantastic to go during the summer on a hot day and drink nice cold beer, sit outside and people watch.
