HOT BAR
The hot bar features two casseroles, two stews, and two side dishes, accompanied by brown and basmati rice, baked sweet potatoes, and steamed kale. The menu changes daily and is mainly vegetarian and vegan, but includes some amazing local meat selections. Priced by weight, $12.00/lb.
COLD BAR
The cold bar features local mesclun greens along with fresh and prepared salad toppings and vegetables, such as roasted cauliflower, blanched broccoli, house made pickles, toasted nuts, olives, feta and cottage cheese, and house made salad dressings. The cold bar offers a selection of innovative prepared salads. We use local farm vegetables whenever possible. Priced by weight, $12.00/lb.
SPECIALS
Stone Soup's specials highlight our culinary style, usually featuring local farm meats. Fridays at lunch we serve half pound local beef burgers from La Platte Farm, with side salad and fries, and made to order by Zabby himself. Intermittently, we also serve our famous chopped chicken liver sandwich made with Misty Knoll chicken, our braised beef brisket made from La Platte beef, and a chopped salad with short rib steak.

Great restaurant in downtown Burlington. Their food/salad bar has excellent offerings or you can order sandwiches and salads. I had their quiche of the day (Zucchini- mushroom) and it was just yummy. Especially good lunch restaurant.

The idea was interesting--a buffet style in which you pay by the weight of what you put on your plate. The food sounded interesting according to the signs on each dish, but was bland. Boring taste, mushy food made complete by a small, bright green...More

Seriously, if you want to eat food like this just stir-fry the wilted veggies and other grim detritus from your fridge at home. Maybe add rancid sesame oil that was in your cabinets when you moved in to try to cover the slightly off taste...More
