Been years - and changes of owners - since last visit but still somewhat stark wood everything, still the flies annoying us the whole meal (several thousand generations later) and still the presentation of the bill long before we finished eating. And surprise of waitress on return to pick it up (still eating honey) that we had left it where... More

I have been here several times: for breakfast, lunch and also for dinner. The fare is simple, nothing fancy nothing that stands out, but generally well prepared. Service is pleasant and friendly, but every time the wait staff has been different. Not sure why the turn over is so much. I go there because of the ambience and proximity, and... More

Formerly Village Cup, then Caroline's, then briefly Fields and now the Jericho cafe & Tavern, this restaurant has rebranded a few too many times in the past two years. However, the new owner has renamed it the Jericho Cafe & Tavern in November and hopefully it will be around for a while! We had New Year's Eve dinner there and... More

A full service cafe-- excellent coffee, baked goods, lunches, etc. My mom lives half a mile away-- it is her favorite place. We always enjoy taking her there when we visit.

Caroline's is gone - along with the 'fine dining' - which is a plus. Enjoy the new bar/lounge area for limited menu, or go into main dining area for a larger selection of food items. Food is excellent all around - try the deck, too! The one issue is still service - needs better management/organization - but still worth a... More

Going downhill for some time. Lost its original vision as a lovely coffee bar and pastry place. Plans to reopen as a coffee bar with pastries again and a bar with snacks. Restaurant with sandwiches, etc. will be separate. Good luck to them, I'm looking for a return to the lovely, local ambience and more and better breakfast pastries

The price point is very high for the quality of the food. The 6 dollar scone was dry dry dry. Cup of yogurt with berries a soup that was bland and a tea was around 12 dollars. I am sad this area really needs a FUN delicious place to gather and be able to enjoy often and not break the... More

As with many of the prior reviewers, we are locals who have eaten here often, mostly for weekend brunch, or sometimes just to get a latte from the coffee bar. While the food itself is usually quite good. The service is almost uniformly terrible. This is not just a single bad experience, but multiple visits over the course of the... More

My wife and I, along with my two sons and a daughter-in-law, enjoyed last evening the tasting menu event in anticipation of the opening of a newly renovated version of Caroline's, which will open soon as Fields. The starters, lighter fare and entrees were DELICIOUS and the service was friendly and attentive. I have always enjoyed the welcoming feel of... More

I have been here more than a couple times now for brunch. Sometimes the service is efficient, other times incredibly slow, and this does not seem to depend on how busy the restaurant is. I have been impressed by their wide variety of dishes and the smoothies are good. Food is either terrific (omelet with goat cheese and veggies) or... More
