This is a lively place to have dinner. We enjoyed our meals, but they were out of our first choices (two items) at 645pm. Our server was in training so not familiar with the menu nor bar ordering. I ordered a standard old fashioned (they...had a maple one on the menu) and it took 45 minutes to arrive. While the food and drinks were good, the service was subpar.More

Sunday to Tuesday you must have a reservation or eat at bar, only open restaurant in town. Went back on Wednesday with reservation but not near the crowds. The food was great which is why we had all our dinners here. The location is easy...walking distance of sights and shopping.More

We had a dinner with my son and his friends at this restaurant. The restaurant is much more spacious than it looks from outside. The decoration is quite nice as well. It has a quite spacious bar area along the entrance. The menu has great...dishes and they all looked really nice. The ones we could try were delicious and very presentable. Highly recommend but you need to make a reservation well in advance.More

Used to love coming here as a student – came back for the first time since graduation recently, and it did not disappoint. Atmosphere was lively and warm as always, and the bar food was as tasty as ever. Definitely a Middlebury classic.

Awesome place for pub food and drinks open late! Good thing too, because it is the only establishment that stays open for food past 9pm in Middlebury!

Great pub right on Main Street - Scored the corner table to catch up with our sister and brother in law. Brussel sprouts were excellent. Fries were cooked in their own oil - not with onion rings - Huge bonus for one of our party!!!!...Rock Art Ridge Runner beer was amazing - great Vermont beer list. Reuben sandwich was loaded with tender pastrami! MMMMM Onion rings were large and crispy. Chocolate mousse (complimentary as there was a birthday at our table) was amazing!!!! OUR WAITRESS WAS AMAZING! Pleasant, friendly and helpful!!!More

Excellent food in a cute and interesting local pub. The service was great. Burgers were amazing. Get the poutine. Banana cream pie is worth every calorie.

I was staying in Middlebury with a friend, and we went on Sunday afternoon to Burlington to watch my grandson who is on the UVM hockey team. As a late afternoon game we had planned to grab a pizza after the game, but the restaurant...we had picked for some reason was busy and no walk ins were being taken. So we decided to head back to Middlebury and my friend said Two Brothers should be open. She had not been for years so not sure about the food and even though she had lived there for 40 years. Arrived after 7 and almost a full house and a very upbeat crown and having fun. Seated at a nice table and a great waiter. Ordered a burger and fries and my friend had a curry dish. It was the best burger I had in my 10 days in Vermont and most impressed. The tables next to us had some groups of young Middlebury students and listening to them, it was apparent they were hockey players. As I had played against them some 60 years ago, I asked if any were from Minnesota. None of the boys but on the girls team, the captain from last years championship team was from my old high school, Edina and it was fun talking about school and the hockey program We enjoyed our meal so much and my friend was really excited as she did not know the food was so good we opted to come the next night for dinner. We had wings, calamari, and a salad and cocktails to start. The wings were great, meaty and good spicing, and the calamari was light and crispy, melt in you mouth. No rubber like some at all. We even popped for a couple of desserts and were more than full. We enjoyed the whole experience so much: food, staff, atmosphere that when I return to the area, Two Brothers will be on my list for a return visit. And if in the area for anybody, I would put Two Brothers as a must stop. Thanks so much. Jim at Maplelag in MinnesotaMore

Korean chicken sandwich was a hit for both teenagers but the chicken picatta with gnocchi was not good. Gnocchi looked and tasted like gray glue. The penne carbonara had almost no pancetta in it- a big disappointment. Draft beers and service were good.

Apparently this is the only place open on a Sunday as it was really busy. Be sure to make reservations (we didn't and ended up being there for 3 hours!) To be fair we were warned the wait would be over an hour and it...was. Luckily we found a place at the bar and had a couple of drinks. The food was tasty and the portions were large. The bartender was friendly enough but very much swamped and our waiter was just fine.More

This is a nice Irish pub. I sat at the bar and had a nice Fish and chips with a draft Guinness. There are dollar bills taped to the ceiling which is a tribute to the Irish Pubs or yore when fishermen would tape a...bill to the ceiling before heading out to sea. Upon return they’d get their bill and buy a drink. Here, all the bills remain and makes for a cool vibe. Hosts are friendly, Dodd is good, many great local VT beers on tap. A great stop.More

If you want a fine dining experience, go to Jessica's. This is a pub. Food and service was fine. Ambiance and noise level is crowded pub. I also gave Jessica's a "very good". In my view, experience is based on expectations. Here, we expected a...pub serving pub food. Two Brothers delivered "very good. At Jessica's we expected fine dining in a quiet setting. Nice dinner out with my husband and tween/teen kids while vacationing in Vermont. Service was fast, and our waitress was attentive. Food was really good; my husband’s steak was cooked exactly as he ordered. I really enjoyed my French onion soup.

Four of us were able to get a table on short notice on a Friday night even though the restaurant was pretty full. I had the salmon, which was excellent. Each of us ordered something different and each of us really enjoyed our meal. We...tried two desserts, the banana cream pie and the chocolate mousse. The mousse was really good but the pie oddly lacked banana flavor. Overall, I highly recommend Two Brothers Tavern. https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g57318-d1023764-r832015773-Two_Brothers_Tavern-Middlebury_Vermont.html#More

Ordered NY strip steak. Overcooked and meat was tough and overcooked. I asked waiter if this was truly a strip steak. He had no idea. I returned the steak and instead ordered a Caesar salad, which didn’t arrive for 25 minutes. Returned that as well...since my partner had finished her meal. I rarely reject food, but on this occasion I returned two. Drinks, a margarita and local ale, were excellent. Restaurant needs to return to pre-Covid level for food and service. This was once an exceptional experience.More
