A little off the beaten path, but the locals have found this place. Hours are limited and bakery items are often limited later in the day. Coffee and coffee drinks are terrific. There is limited seating space, with some standing tables, and no bathroom. This place also does custom cakes -- check them out!

This is a great bakery. There is a high level of attention to quality, from the coffee to the baked treats to the displays to the store. The best pastries around, good coffee & funky knickknacks. Small amount of seating. We place our birthday & special occasion cakes with them-superb!

Baked fresh early each morning, with a new selection of goodies every day, this is the best place for pastries. And the selection of coffee is outstanding! Great service, too!

Although Birchgrove is a small bakery I was pleased to see GF options. I had a fabulous peanut butter GF cookie that was really good. I would have thought it was regular had I not purchased it myself. Not too sugary. Great consistency.

This is a great spot for pastries, baked goods, coffee, and other drinks. Everything is baked on site and is delicious. Very high quality. A nice spot for a coffee or snack. Charming decor and staff. Well worth the slightly pricey cost of the items.

Coffee and tasty treats, poems in the window and a canoe in the back yard. Stop here for a bite to eat and a moment of sunlit peace.

If you are in Montpelier it is worth going off the main streets to find this bakery. They make excellent espresso drinks and have the finest pastries and sweets in town. Note they close at 3p though!
