Other people have complained about poor service - and it was slow. HOWEVER, we were out for an evening of food and conversation, so the pace suited us just fine. The Pu-Pu Platter was meant for two but was more than enough for three. Good mix of plain fried food for those seeking the blandest thing on the menu and... More

This place should be jammed, it isn't. The food is very good, the portions are reasonable, the service is pleasant, the atmosphere is relaxing and the price is right. I came back this month after a year's absence and everything is just as good as I remembered it. Adding to the pleasure, by providing a separate serving dish for each... More

My husband and I had visited Ginger China while on a motorcycle trip through Rutland, VT years ago and had a fantastic, surprisingly delicious bento box lunch. So good, in fact, that we have remembered it all this time. You know those kinds of experiences are rare! So, when we were passing through Vermont again in July this year, we... More

We have been to this restaurant several times and we have never been disappointed. The family who owns the restaurant is extremely nice and the food is great. It is fresh, it tastes right and for us this is the place to go when we want to have a good Chinese meal. Also, the portions are very good.

Asian restaurants are few and far between here in Vermont. Ever since Panda Garden in Manchester closed we in the "Northshire have been pretty much "SOL" for this cuisine until we discovered Ginger China on Rte. 4 east of town while heading for Home Depot. They do a very nice lunch plate, large choice of meals, as you'd expect, and... More

I always worry about the quality of meat at unknown Chinese restaurants, and terrible same-sauce-for-all dishes. however, Ginger China surprised us and we dined there twice during our travel to the region! These guys are authentic, lean good quality meat and plenty of veggies that were done with just the right crunch. Excellent value for money!

This is the only place in Rutland that serves a really good salt and pepper shrimp dish -- under Chef's Specials -- definitely more authentic than most. The spring roll was very good, as well. Service was fine but not the most attractive interior -- seemed a little cold. The outside gave the appearance of a typical Chinese American venue.... More

I do like most of the food that we have eaten, but only take out. I have not eaten in, so cannot comment on service.

I found this to be the best Chinese Restaurant in the Rutland-Killington Vt area. Although there is also another good Chinese on the access road, the food here is just as good and prices are reasonable. Their Chinese food is better than the Japanese. Also, their dishes are as indicated on the menu and don't have the addition of peas... More
