Aten here a few times. The salad bar is pretty good, the bread was hot. The prime rib was great but don't touch the seafood. I got the fried fish platter the scallops were raw in the center and there breading needs some work.

My wife nod I tried Black Rock for the first time this week. We enjoyed the early bird specials. I had the filet mignonette, and my wife had the haddock. The salad bar was full of fresh veggies, lettuce, bread, and soup. The steak served on a cooking rock was a nice touch, and added to the eating experience.

Black Rock is by far the best place to eat here in town. Their food is delcious, the waitresses are wonderful and the overall experience was great! The atmosphere was awesome. If you visit you must try the salad bar!

I visited with two Springfield natives on Dec. 27. The menu is varied with specials including salmon, fried oysters and lunch regulars featuring fried whole belly clams. The salad bar is extremely fresh and complete and is $4.---additional. The clams were succulent and flavorful with very tangy , creamy tartar sauce. Sweet potato fries were the garnish and they were... More

Well worth the wait on a cold and rainy Saturday afternoon! There was something for everyone and the portions were enormous. High quality beef as well as the never ending salad bar. Excellent! We all had to take part of our meals home. Perfect for the next day.

The steaks are quality and the portions are generous. Great staff, good wine selection, and I like the atmosphere.

First, why wasn't this a 5? Several reasons, all of which were staff. 1) Two of the staff were siting in the chairs immediately outside the front door, smoking up a storm. Disgusting, and the smell came in whenever the doors got opened. If you have to smoke, go out back! 2) A number of waitresses were chattering away in... More

The Teriyaki steak at Black Rock is Awesome. Makes a good leftover meal too. I often get the veggies with mine. They offer a large salad bar as well.

We only had to wait 10 minutes for our table instead of 15 on a busy night. Got the last parking space in the lot. Delicious meal - excellent salad bar as various reviewers had commented. My steak was cooked just right, brisket taste in the chili was an unexpected bonus, side dishes very tasty and good service. Patrons and... More

I went two days in a row to Black Rock Steakhouse. At dinner I ordered the filet mignon on a rock. It was very tender and tasty. The next afternoon I went to lunch with a group of friends and had the fried oysters. They were done in a light batter to perfection. I would have said this is an... More
