I was concerned when I began reading the menu because I don't eat meat. I was so surprised to find a veggie burger on the menu! All of the food looked great. I went there with a large party and my friends ordered all of the fried stuff that looked amazing. They have a fried fish dish that is caught... More

Townshend is a wide spot in the road. We were staying over night and our inn only served breakfast. This is the only game in town. In seeing the diner from the outside, we thought surely, they must have spent their money on the interior.....not so you'd notice. There is an eclectic collection of glassware and antique kitchen gadgets. The... More

Locals eat here. Large servings. Read the blackboard for specials and make sure you leave room for desserts which include apple crisp. This is definitely NOT a chain.

Thank you for taking time to review us! We try very hard to please everyone, and do actually have a few healthier diet choices. If you need help don't hesitate to ask the kitchen! More

We eat at the Diner often and have never been disappointed. It doesn't matter if you are have a dinner, sandwich or just desserts - it is all great. The server Katie is wonderful. She is a real asset to the Diner. My wife and I enjoy having Katie working our table as much as we enjoy the food.

Looks like a dive but because of the reviews I read here we stopped in for breakfast. I had a ham and cheese omelet, which was not fluffy but still good nonetheless. Homemade sourdough bread was very good. Companion had eggs benedict, which he said was very good but the bottom part of the English muffin was hard to cut... More

Thank you for reviewing ! After listening to our customers, we started toasting the English muffins more on the benedicts because they didn't want them soggy. We will try to reach that medium point, thank you. And the menu should reflect the changes we made and the words Texas sized removed , my error I apologize! And we do have... More

I love this place. The food is good, fresh and inexpensive, and owner and waitresses are friendly and warm. I think we were the only tourists there, a plus. The owner has decorated the room with lots of vintage cookware and green glass, making it feel like you are eating in the midst of a folk art installation ( because... More

Everything here is fresh and delicious. They were farm to table before it was "a thing". Make sure and get a piece of pie. Any pie!!

We stopped at this small town diner for breakfast. What can I say but "yum"! I had scrambled eggs, bacon, & French toast with maple syrup. Delicious! Cost? $5.99. He had a western omelet with home fries & homemade bread. He says "it was just plum good"! Cost? $4.99. Food was a little slow coming out but waitress was attentive.... More

We stayed in an AirBnB very close to this place. We were told it's "very good", so after driving past it several times, we finally decided to give it a chance. Our first visit was for breakfast. Breakfast was great! I had the 3 stack of pancakes w a side of sausage. My wife had the omelette with sourdough bread.... More
