We had dinner this past Saturday night in the less formal bar section. It was an interesting dinner. They brought the bread and I asked for olive oil. They said they were out of olive oil. I then ordered three different bottles of wine - and yes, they were out of all three. And it wasn't that I focused on... More

We've been going here happily for many years. We were there for my son's birthday dinner during winter school break. Weeknight, 6:30pm, place was half empty at least. We were handed menus then totally ignored for over 30 minutes. Not even drinks. It's like our table was empty, as server after server sailed by our table, tending to other tables,... More

There is only one item on the menu that even mentions gluten. Waitress was not knowledgeable or interested in helping us figure out what to eat. Said that most items were either marinated or had sauce that contained gluten. Was reluctant to check with the chef. Ended up having burgers which were very mediocre.

Its risky to do Turkey day dinner at a restaurant. We did it once when my sister was in New York, and this was the second time. It was very good, everything tasted fabulous. The Squash soup though really blew my mind more than anything!

Visited the Hermitage Inn for my 25th birthday and they served us rabbit pot pie and one of their fancy mac n cheese plates. The food was very good and the portions were far enough to fill you up. Server was very personable and continuously checking on us. Hot tub was cool too, sitting right on a babbling brook. Great... More

Casual yet elegant at the same time. Super service, casual atmosphere but memorable dishes. Must do if in Wilmington skiing Hermitage (Haystack) or otherwise.

We were in Wilmington for a friend's wedding and attended the rehersal dinner at the Hermitage Inn. The Inn was quaint, beautiful and the food was great. We had a wonderful time.

I've been going to The Hermitage for many years and have always enjoyed the food and friendly service. Recently they changed their menu and my wife and I tried the macaroni and cheese and the flatbread pizza . Both excellent!

I have friends who take me out to dinner when they come up to ski. It is always a week day evening after February vacation so we are about the only people in the dining room. For the last 3 years they have given our party of 6-8 a small cramped table rather than the larger tables with high backed... More

New chef, new, inexperienced staff, new and limited menu combine to make a very unenjoyable evening. Raw burger, swampy salad, grizzly, inedible steak. Slow and rude severs. When asked about the greens swimming in dressing, the server said "it is what it is." Will not return to what used to be our favorite place up here.
