After reading the reviews we tried to go to dinner here, it is closed, with a Real Estate sign posted in front. We had been in the past when it was Monty's.

We used to come here often, not because the food was great but because it featured great live jazz on Sunday evenings. Now, under new ownership, it's the same limited menu and no jazz. Nothing terrible, but no particular reason to choose this over other area restaurants. (Note--the name has changed--it's now called Akes' Old Brick Tavern.)

This past summer Monty's Old Brick Tavern was reopened as Akes' Old Brick Tavern. We decided to try the dinner menu and use a discount coupon that we saw on a local Movie & Coupon Guide. The interior is pretty much the same as Monty's. It is an old house in the middle of the Williston Village converted into a... More

Recommended by hotel staff, the place was hard to find on a very dark rainy night. Parking is behind the building which makes navigating a bit more difficult.Granite steps were a bit treacherous given the weather and someone finally turned the outside light on before we left. Having said all that, the service was prompt, attentive and professional though on... More

We sat outside on their patio one of the last summer evenings this year. The restaurant was pretty busy- all outside seating was taken. Our server was great, attentive, knowledgeable about the menu choices. They have Heady Topper!! The food was very good. Fish and chips were fresh, Rustic chicken was well cooked and seasoned. It had a great flavor.

I found this place on a Google search when in Williston. This place was the BEST place I ate during my 4 day stay in Williston. I will be back! I ordered the Lobster Roll (not on the internet menu, but on the menu in the restaurant) and it was superb. The French Fried potatoes with the lobster roll were... More

Last time I went here it was called Monty's. This time we sat outside on the patio. I love fish and chips and I really grilled the waitress about how it was cooked as I look for fresh fish, beer batter, deep fried and I was not disappointed. The fish was moist and flaky and the batter crisp and dry... More

1 star because the building is charming and clean, and Abbie, our server was so sweet and polite (albeit inexperienced and unempowered), but quite frankly I would give it a .5 based on food and policies. We went to the restaurant at the Hotel's recommendation, and a quick look at Yelp (I couldnt find on TA, now I realize its... More

Monty's was one of my favorite restaurants -everything was always delicious. I went this past weekend for the first time since the new owners took over. The renovations seem to consist of changing the bar. The menu has changed. It leans heavily on pub type food. A lot of items come with fries. There are some chicken and beef selections... More

Our Stoli martini's were ok at $8 each. We had a 2 for 1 restaurant card so we each got the beef fillet special; a bit steep at $30 but that is the way it is going with beef. We asked for medium rare and they came to the table perfectly done. The meat was tender. We loved the garlic... More
