We frequently dine here...family and friends alike. Good food and service. Hard to find a decent sushi place around the area, but they always come through. Can be a bit cold so bring a jacket.

I went to dinner with friends after a movie. There were three of us total. We ordered one of the platters and a roll. This was plenty of food. It was all really good, fresh, and big pieces of fish. The staff was very friendly....More
We had a small gathering for lunch time and we choose to visit Matsu Japanese Restaurant and we're happy we decided upon this place. Prior to our stop we've always wondered if the food was food or not, and we found out the food is...More

Very nice place. Authentic Japanese food. We were blocked by traffic on the way back to D.C. So we were looking to eat something on the way. It turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The quality is very good compares to NYC Japanese quality....More
For a taste of Tokyo in the middle of NOVA, Matsu is the place. Replete with sushi bar, authentic Japanese costumed staff and cozy seating, Matsu offers a menu to match. I recommend the teriyaki steak and vegetable tempura.
Three for lunch, having tempura, yellowtail, avo salads and cal roll. The Hamachi sashimi came without the dark red blood vein having been trimmed. That dulled the delicate flavor of good Hamachi. Hamachi kama (the cooked collar) was very good. California roll was fine.
